Long Day

I'm thankful my long day is over!

I had a good doctors appointment which I was a little apprehensive about it prior too. However, it went well.

Work, practice, a spring coaches meeting, home, unpack, repack, and making a few calls have all taken their toll on me.

I'm thankful to be going to bed at 10:15pm. Good night!

Pregnancy

Today I think over 20 people asked me how I was feeling and doing. It was almost enough to make me self conscience. Oh wait. It did. Even sitting behind my desk, I was asked. I felt like I doubled in size or something. Maybe my face looks fatter and I am used to it can't tell. I dunno. At one point, all the office ladies were in my office talking to me about it. It was nice though that they care.

Today:
"How much longer?"  4 weeks, 2 days
"Are you ready?" Hell yes.
"What's her name?" We seriously do not have one picked out.
"Is Josh pumped?" Yes. He is excited too.
"How much time you taking off?" I think six weeks, but I'm still going to coach.

I think I forget how huge I really loom right now. I avoid mirrors, but when I do look, I gasp. I'm sure I look crazy coaching on the side lines too. I saw people stare. Oh well.

Heartburn has been raging most days all day. I did sleep more than 5 hours last night and worked 13.5. Feet have been cramping last two days. I'm feeling pretty good though really. She moves and kicks and moves a lot. It's fun.

Truthfully, I'm happy to be having a baby. I have some friends struggling right now so I am thankful. I do however feel like I'm in someone else's body. I'm excited to take off the fat suit and get back into normal clothes and normal workouts.

Come on baby Bassett. Maybe that's her name.... 😏

Baby Room HELP

I have been in and out of the baby room since my shower. I've put some things away, but not 'really' put them away. I hadn't washed a thing either. Ugh. Time. Something I don't have a lot of right now, was what I needed.

Last night after the family party, Tara said she had today off and could come help get started. I wasn't really ready though. After a quick trip to the dollar store and $40 later, I had what I needed. :)

Tara and the kids came over and we got started on pulling off tags and washing! Even Paige helped. Four loads of laundry and almost half the clothes and blankets are washed and ready to use. We filled bins and totes with all kinds of baby needs. Tara even hung pictures and wall decore. It's looking pretty good in the baby room. I could not have done it without Tara's help!!!

I am thankful for Tara's help getting our baby room organized today. :)

Family Party

Saturday we had a family party for Josh. We cleaned the house and set up for everyone to come eat and hang out.

I'm so thankful my family lives close and likes to get together to celebrate especially for my awesome husband.

I love seeing my nieces and nephews. I love hanging them hang out! They are making memories they will never forget. I can't wait until summer!

I'm thankful for our family get togethers.

Friday

Today I finally got to leave work early! It was Friday, home game, and I got to leave the building by 4pm. I was so pumped. It was nice to have the evening to go to our friends surprise party. I was worry free and had fun not being at work!

Pregnancy: I got to come home and rest. I'm feeling huge, but not much I can do about it. I've been more tired than usual, but I'm alright. Few more weeks to go. Will we really have a baby here ALL the time? Wow. Yikes. That's a little scary.

Catching Up

Today Jason was finally back to work after surgery.

We finally got to spend some time catching up!

I'm thankful for that time today. P

Softball Season

Today I really got the softball bug. A combination of the spring like weather, picking out t-shirts designs, winter workouts, and doing a little scheduling might have done the trick today.

Starting a new season is always hard for me. Today, though was an exciting step toward a new season. I'm not going to lie, I loved my team the last few years. The graduated seniors hold a dear place in my heart. I will miss them tremendously.

Todayi realized that I'm ready to move forward. I'm ready to rebuild a varsity team. I like the fact that many of the girls, young and old, are nervous. They are eager to please and want a shot as a varsity player. It's fun!

Today opened my head coaching eyes. It reminded me that the varsity should be made of the best players. The ones with heart. The ones with guts. The ones willing to do whatever it takes to win!

I'm thankful for my softball outlook after today. I'm ready for softball 2014!!

Phone Call from Paige

Today I got a phone call from my lovely little niece Paige. She asked Tara if she could call me from the van. She likes the blue tooth action in the van. :)

She wanted to say hi. But then she asks. "Hey Aunt Tonya. You wanna go to Panera for lunch?" Tara starts to laugh and says, "I didn't know she was going to ask you that." Too funny!!

It was decided so we went to Panera after a Meijer shopping trip. I'm thankful that my snow day involved my sister and her kids and Paige asking me to lunch. Love that kid!!

Also, when I got home, my mailbox contained something I wasn't expecting for a few weeks. Private Practice Season 2!! Whoop whoop! I was pumped. I started watching this afternoon. Seven episodes. Hehe. Josh has watched some of them with me too! We are fans!

I'm thankful for my phone call today and my surprise in the mail!

Pregnancy: had and OB appointment today. 5 weeks left. Things look good. I now have to go every Tuesday for regular check ups. Baby room not ready. Can't wash the outfits. Think it's a boy. We don't have a name yet. She or he is moving all the time. Slept terribly last night with heartburn. Feeling good though. Worked out last night and tonight. Fast walk, then slow walk a minute. Lifts. Squats. Ready to get back into shape and wear spring clothes!

Massage

Today I used my gift certificate from Josh from Chritsmas to get a back massage. It was a day off and I didn't have much ambition. So I went to the mall. I found my favorite Chinese guy and plopped down in the chair.

30 minutes of mindless sitting. It was great. Loved it.

I'm thankful for my 30 minute free massage today!!

Lansing Shopping

Our trip to Lansing included lunch with Josh's family and a little shopping. We were celebrating Josh's birthday a little early.

It was nice to chat with his family and visit. Too bad they had to drive so far...but car rides aren't too nice to me right now. Sitting for too long is brutal.

I was happy too to find a few things we were looking for our house. Josh wanted some place mats. I needed new shoes. My last pair are pretty worn out. I found a sweet pair that I can't wait to wear.

I'm glad we did some shopping today too. Josh got to see his family too. Good times.

Nieces and Nephews

I really enjoy my nieces and nephews. They are too cute. Today Paige was so excited to play with her cousins! When she arrived before them, she immediately started saying, "Eastyn and Wyatt be here soon?!!" Too funny. When they arrived, it was on. Toys, games, hid-n-seek, chasing, mocking, eating, and laughing. They have so much fun together. I love it. Paige will play anything. Guns or dolls. She just loves the company. Today there was an interesting fascination with peeing and pooping. If one ran into the bathroom, the rest followed. It was hilarious. They are pretty good for me and Josh too. They listen for the most part.

Today, my friend Jenna was showing Wyatt and Paige some funny videos and a Wyatt looked across Jenna and said, "I love you Paige..." Truly too cute! Also, baby Emersyn had started to cry on the floor. Paige ran over and put her binki in her mouth. Then she yelled to me, "Aunt Tonya, you feed her a bottle?!" So cute.

I'm so glad my sisters and I live within reason of each other. I'm glad our kids can all play together. Watching them love each other and get excited to play with each other is awesome!

Today, Wyatt announced that I was having a THREE day sleep over next time. "It's going to be the BEST sleep over EVER!" (Sounds crazy to me!!) :)

I'm thankful for my nieces and nephews!

Pregnancy; it's getting harder to watch all those kids, but I managed. My back is pretty sore too. I'm feeling good other wise. Not swollen ot anything. I'm just huge! Ugh. Counting down the days.

Surprises

Now I'm usually not big on surprises. But this morning Josh left me a valentine's day gift on the table. I was excited when I opened my new Fitbit!! I've been looking at these for a while. I'm hoping it makes me exercise more now.

Josh is awesome! I'm thankful for my awesome husband.

Ice Cream Run

So tonight I had all these ideas of things I was going to do after I got out of work.

Yea....didn't happen! I left work later than I thought. I was tired. So I took a power nap. I was dressed in my workout clothes so I could workout after we walked the dog. Yea...didn't happen. We DID walk the dogs outside though.

After dinner, Josh suggested a nap. Sounded good to me. Hehe. Then I woke up craving some ice cream. Why not we thought, so we ran to Culvers for some ice cream. Yummy!

So much for that workout! Bahaha.
I'm thankful for Josh taking me to get some Culvers!

Pregnancy: my belly feels very heavy today. Weird. It's not very comfortable to sit for long periods either. Ugh! Glad she's moving all over though. Luckily my app shares the highlights of this weeks expectations. Plan on working in the baby room this weekend. We will see how that goes. :)

Good Kids

Today, I had interactions with lots of good kids. One was beat up in the bathroom today by his peers. Poor kid sat in my office the rest of the day. He seemed to be a nice kid. Felt bad for him too. Then I ran some winter workouts for some dedicated girls. I got to chat with a few of them today. Nice girls. Many of them worked very hard today too. Impressive.

After I got back to my office, three of my 8th grade basketball players came into my office. They sat down and made themselves at home. I was glad. I took the time to ask them about their families and thier days. Turns out they are each members of the NJHS. They stayed after to run a fundraiser and help count money. Great kids. I like them a lot. It was fun to talk to them.

As I walked over to the middle school, two of our ticket takers made me smile. One was working on her BIRTHDAY!! Just good kids.

My team too surprised me with a their sense of humor. They were ready to play too. They said, "coach if we score 50 points, will you buy us pizza?!" I said sure. And...they did. During the game, I heard lots of encouragement and good jobs. I'm glad this is such a nice group of girls.

I'm thankful for the good kids I see each day!

Pregnancy: really tired! But I'm surviving. I'm excited for for our long weekend. I'm huge. Headache today, but I'm getting over it. Ready to be done.

Help

Today I am very thankful for the people who go above and beyond to help out. Beth our trainer today, helped me a ton by getting the freshman officials and teams started tonight while I was at practice.

Setting up the gym today, Marty Fortress helped me with the heavy scoring table and chairs. He's so nice.

After the games, I was getting the officials drinks and dinner. When I got back into the gym, some friends had helped put all the chairs away. They even helped with the scoring table too. :)

I'm so thankful for the community helping out the pregnant lady. They are great!

Monday Bus Ride

Monday we had a long bus ride to Battle Creek. I was slightly nervous because I can't go more than an hour without peeing. No kidding. I can't. 😬

The bus was cold and far more uncomfortable than I had anticipated. I could not get comfortable at all. Not fun. When we arrived at pennfield, the bus driver said, "when you get close to having that baby, you come go for a ride on this bus. I'll help you." I laughed and said today was enough I thought I was going to pee my pants. She laughed. :)

The ride home wasn't very comfortable either, but oh well.

I'm thankful the long bus rides are over! I do not like bus rides, but I really don't like them pregnant. :)

Gift

We received a generous gift from Josh's family. It was a big surprise to both of us for sure. With the baby coming soon, it will be used.

We are thankful for our surprise gift.

Pregnancy: I'm getting more and more uncomfortable each day. Sleep a joke. But I did nap this weekend. I can't seem to go into the baby room and organize it yet though. I have an overwhelming feeling that it's a B O Y now. Ahhh! I keep thinking about what she or he will look like too. Hair color? Teeth? Cross eyed. Lazy eye? Ahh. Ill freak out until she's born. I'm feeling alright though. Worked out yesterday. Worked a lot this week on my feet too. I'm surviving. She or he is moving all over too. It's funny. The softball girls felt it today too. Fun stuff. But I'm ready to be done. Come on baby!

TreeHouse

Even though I worked 58 hours last week. Friday was a 15 hour day. I didn't sit from 12:30pm until 9:30pm. My feet were killing me and legs. I got a decent night sleep too! I got up. I worked out. Then showered.

I was invited to have some fun at the treehouse with my sisters and their kids today. I was thinking staying home sounded good, but then I decided to go hang out with them. I hadn't been to the treehouse before, but it was awesome! The kids had such a great time! We even had a great time at lunch together. It was a fun morning and afternoon. I'm glad we had a fun trip on such a cold nasty winter day!

I'm thankful my family is so awesome!

Snowfest

Snowfest is always crazy. Kids are crazy. The schedule is crazy. It was crazy cold.

I spent the day getting ready for the evenings crazy festivities. I set up the gym 6th hour and was ready for the craziness to start.

I out extra tickets in the money box because I knew we'd sell over 250! I was right. The whole town followed Lumen's boys to our new gym to see them continue their winning streak. Hannah Boyt and Mr. Eddy ran the scoring table efficiently!

I was so thankful for Aisleen and Janna who helped at the admissions table. They were awesome. Also, Sandy came to give is a hand with the crowd. Dennis had the students under control too. People however, were everywhere. It was a bit crazy trying to keep our crowd away from the basketball entry and exit way. That wasn't easy.

Halftime went fairly smoothly. The place was packed. I'm thankful for a smooth long evening. I'm thankful for our help all night tonight! Thank goodness for good people!

Dinner with Josh

Tonight I got to come home and make dinner and eat it with Josh. It was nice to be home before 9pm. ;)

I'm thankful that my week allowed me to come home early tonight.

Grandma

My grandma is so nice! Josh had the idea to go shovel her driveway since Rocky and Mary are out of state. The driveway was covered in 5 inches of snow. We almost borrowed the neighbors snow blower, but the timing wasn't good. Josh pushed the driveway clean. I helped, well, not much. :)

So I went inside to visit with grandma. We chatted while Josh finished up. We had a good talk. I enjoyed visiting with her too. She even shared how she remembered being done being pregnant about three weeks before my Aunt Chris arrived. She said grandpa event said to her, "you're ready huh?" Funny story.

Grandma refused to let us leave without a coupon from Olive Garden and $20. We tried not to take it, but she refused. We ended up getting OG take out. Yummy! We were starving.

My grandma is such a nice lady. Gotta love grandma.

Good People

Today I asked Coach DeBacker to come to my practice and help out with our offense. Chris is one of the kindest people I know. He's been a great addition to our coaching staff at Western and an even stronger addition to the girls basketball program. His team is currently undefeated too. They are good because of his consistent coaching.

Chris came with a plan today too. He walked our girls through the offense teaching us some basic skills too. It was nice to have a new persoective too. The girls enjoyed it. We learned a lot in a short period of time.

I am thankful for Chris helping out today.

Sunday Recovery

After a little shopping and a baby shower, I spent my day recovering from my long past four days.

My back, belly, and feet were pretty sore. So I took it easy for a while today. It was a pretty boring and uneventful night too. No Super Bowl party. No good, fatting, greasy foods, just some soup Josh made yesterday. First time in a long time we haven't gone to a Super Bowl party too. Hmm. At least I was able to rest my body too. I am glad.

Feeling pretty good. At the shower, there were a few other pregnant women too. Interesting how being pregnant affects women differently. Funny, really. These past few days, I've been starving. I need to eat better and more frequently. I also need to drink more water which I've been working on too. :) Only that makes you pee about every 10 minutes. Starting to feel like I'm having a boy and not a girl. Ahh! Hope I'm wrong. She or HE is kicking more and more throughout the day. Sometimes it's even painful. I watched many people stare at me throughout Target today. It's not that much fun. I told my treadmill tonight I will be back this week. Thank goodness.

I'm thankful today was a good recovery day. Bring on next week.

Josh's Help

Josh has been very sick the past four day. Pretty sure our house is infected with the influenza virus. Ahhh! He's been fever, chills, and cough. I can literally see the germs flying through the air.

I've been working crazy hours so I haven't been able to help Josh out much. He's been on his own.

I left the house at 6:30am. When I got home at 4:30, I was miserable. Sore. Had to pee. Tired. Bad headache. Hungry! However, Josh had cleaned and tried to disinfect our house. He cleaned the bathroom, did all the laundry, and washed our bed sheets. I feel like our bed is far more clean now.

I'm thankful he spent a few hours cleaning so I wouldn't be too stressed tomorrow.

I'm thankful for Josh.
