TGIF

Thank goodness it was Friday of a holiday weekend! Had the day off. Mowed some lawns and had lunch at Panera with Tara and Jess as the girls. I even got some sun! Now we are in Cadillac with Josh's family! It's a great day.

Today I am thankful for Friday!

Great People!

I am super thankful for the nice and helpful people in my life. We needed some help in concessions tonight and some awesome people helped me out.

A big thanks to Josh, my mom, Annika Oliver and Gabby Boyt! They spent their evening helping me out! Gabby and Anni were awesome at helping me get the concessions started. Love those two!

I'm thankful for the great people in my life!

A Visit

My mom and I took a trip to visit Trisha and the kids. I love those kids. They are so cute! We did some puzzles, played a few games, and visited. It's so fun to have a night to visit with the family.

Gifts

It's not secret, I love gifts. Big, little, cheap, gum, candy, food, fountain diet pepsi's... It doesn't matter, I just love gifts. They are fun!! They show you that someone took the extra time to think about you. I don't care who you are, everyone loves a gift!

Yesterday, Josh went to the Tigers game and purchased me a sweet license plate holder for my Journey. He's so awesome!

Then tonight, my mom and Larry stopped by to give me a baby mirror for my car that my mom purchased while shopping today. I really needed this. Since babies aren't supposed to face the front until age two, it's difficult to keep an eye on Eastyn and Paige when they are in my car. Now, I'll be able to see them. My mom is great!

Like I said, I love gifts! I am always thankful when I receive one.

Movie

The Odd Life of Timothy Green was a cute movie. A little slower than I thought though.

Trisha and I tool Wyatt and Mylo to see the movie. Wyatt had never been to a movie theater before. He was a little in awe of the big seats and big screen. He liked it though. He didn't make it through the whole movie, but Mylo and I did.

The movie had a sad ending. Mylo and I had tears. I'm glad he liked it though. I am thankful that we could go to the movies today. I love spending time with my family.

85 degrees

Pretty sure nothing is better and than a Friday off! Except an 85 degree day on a day off. Except a day off and 85 degree weather on the lake!!

I love the lake...been saying that since I was young. Today Jenna and Tara and Paige shared the beautiful day with me. We even ate Panera sandwiches. Yum!!

Today I am thankful for a beautiful day at the lake with my friends and family.

Smooth

Even though today was over a 12 hour with day, I am thankful that everything went smoothly for our football game!! G

my moms van

Had a slight problem with my car today. We had to drop it off to the shop tonight. Luckily my mom had an extra mini van that we can borrow so I'm not out of a car. Im very thankful that they allow us to borrow it at a moments notice. Tonight I am thankful for mom's van. :) Yep, I'll be driving the mini van tomorrow!

Josh

This one can never be over done. Josh and I spent countless hours the last few days working on the fall athletic program. I appreciate his help and patience with me!

He is great! Program is almost done. Phew!

Lunch Breaks

Today was crazy. I mean lots of people in my office all day crazy. Crazy like selling athletic passes all day. Crazy like being asked if I was the secretary or the counselor all day by parents. Crazy like 55 emails. Crazy like middle school parent's athletic questions. Crazy like my office Monday 'to do' list. Crazy like not wearing a helmet on motorcycle down M60. Crazy like running 3 miles with sore kidneys. Crazy like McDonalds in spring arbor closed and taped off at 954pm. Crazy like Mr. Young's stories at Frosty Boy. Crazy like spending 6 hours on the fall sports program and not even being close to done!!!

Today I encountered all these crazy things in some way or another. But I was thankful for my lunch break. :)

Tonight Panera messed up my order so the girl made us two warm chocolate chip cookies!! Best part they were warm and FREEEEEEEE! :)

Traditions

Every year my step dad Larry takes a one week trip to Canada to do some fishing. My mom likes to surprise Larry with the lawn mowed when he returns. One less thing he has to do. However, my mom doesn't mow the lawn. So each summer in August, I go out to my moms and mow for my moms surprise (think its not so much of a surprise now) for Larry. Today I think I counted about 8 years of this tradition.

Today was that day. I push mowed the front and then got to drive the sweet Gravely around the back yard. Honestly, I love mowing. It's such quality alone time.

When I got done, I liked the results as did my mother. Sure Larry will appreciate one less thing on his 'to do' list when he gets home.

Today I am thankful for traditions. :)

Nephews

This morning I spend some more time with my nephews. We ate breakfast, played in the sandbox, played sticker books, and we went to feed the ducks!! Wyatt was so much fun and Eastyn so cute. Eastyn's walking and all over the place. Wyatt loves him!

It was fun to play with my nephews this morning. I am thankful I could take a day to enjoy with them! :)

Go Dog, Go!

Our house has two more sleepers tonight! Wyatt and Eastyn are fast asleep in our spare room.

We had them for dinner and then for some evening fun. We took a trip to the park and then to get some ice cream. Josh joined us too.

My thankful time today goes to my 20 minutes on the couch with Wyatt tonight reading Go Dog, Go! I knew I had a copy in our computer room closet. I dug it out and we read it on the couch tonight. Go Dog, Go was my favorite book as a kid. Who wouldn't love a dog party right?! My copy is so old. It even had some crayons colors on the page where my young self must have mistaken it for a coloring book. Oops! Wyatt even asked me, "why color on page?" Guilty! He was no stranger to the book making sure I knew both "Gamma Good and Gamma Patty read it!" Too cute! He listened intently and even finished some sentences for me!

He has always loved books. He knows letters and colors and some words too. He sits still and lets you read forever. He is such a joy. He's loving and caring and so sweet! Josh and I both love spending time with Wyatt. We can only hope to have a child as great as him someday!

Nice Deeds

Today Josh stopped at my moms on his way home from work. She had been babysitting all three of the boys since 8:30am! The three boys are a lot to handle. My mom wanted to let Mylo and fish. Josh kindly stopped by there to help my mom out for a while.

He took Mylo fishing and they had a great time. Mylo even said to Josh, "Unlce Josh, you're the coolest!" So cute!

My mom got to take the other boys outside too. They ended their night with some fun!

I am thankful that Josh is such a nice guy! Who wouldn't love Josh!?

Showers

I just realized that I just took my fourth shower of the day! As I was taking it, I thought about how some people never get to take one shower a day, let alone four! Crazy.

I had an eventful day. A shower in the AM, a shower after my workout with my good friend Marni to get ready for work, then after my afternoon run, and then again after we helped Trisha and Nick move. They were all under five minutes, but still. I realize some people in other countries don't have running water. I do realize how lucky I am.

Today I am thankful that Josh and I have a home with running water. Sometimes I'm not grateful enough for the little things.

2 turning 1

Hard to believe almost a full year ago Tara and Trisha were both pregnant. We had yet to meet the two new editions to our family.

Well today we celebrated Paige and Eastyn's one year birthday's. It was a huge success! Food, friends, family, and fun! Everyone came out to celebrate. The kids ate their cakes and loved them!! They opened gifts and even played in the jumping thing. Fun stuff.

Today I am thankful for Eastyn and Paige!

Lunch

After a crappy rainy long run, I was super pumped about lunch at Panera with Josh. I needed a diet Pepsi so bad. The headache was starting. Addicted, I know. Since it was raining, we headed in town hitting Panera first. Only one solution for a rainy day, potato soup!! Yumm!!!

When we returned home, we were surprised by our three wonderful nephews!! They were here to borrow the trailer and stayed for a visit. I love these guys! Mylo and I even played some Xbox Kinect baseball. Fun times!

Today Josh and I hung out and tried to enjoy our crappy rainy Saturday! Those would be my top two thankful events for today.

OG

Dinner at the Olive Garden with our friends Steve and Marni was just how I wanted to end my Friday!

I over ate of course, but the salad is so ridiculously good. I had to eat it!!!

We hadn't seen our friends in a while and it was nice to see them.

Tonight I am thankful for our dinner with our friends tonight!

Rainy Nap Days

Finally some rain! We haven't mowed our grass in at least a month! Hehe. Saving money? You bet! But we were a little tired of the brown fried grass look.

Rain gives me a headache. As soon as I woke up, headache! Ugh.

When Josh got home we ate dinner and tool a map on the couch! Ahhh! Love naps on rainy days!

JCF

I am thankful for my relaxing time at the fair with my mom, Tara, and Paige. She loved the animals in the barn! Loved it!

The evening, I enjoyed my time with Josh as we watched the Pluta girls show their horses in the Grand Champion Show! They looked awesome too. Never watched a whole show, but Josh and I enjoyed it together tonight.

Um, we won't talk about what I ate tonight! Ugh! But the lemonade was freaking awesome!!!

Let's Go Tigers!

Tonight I got to go with my mom to the Tigers game. Season tickets in row 137 baby! Third base line, could see every batter. Best part was we beat the Yankees and Granderson popped up to end the game! Jeter sucks and went 1 for 4! Yeah baby! I made a small purchase for myself too. We ate some popcorn and peanuts! The crowd around us was a hoot! Real baseball, I mean, Tigers fans! They knew stats and ERAs! It was a fun night at Comerica Park!
