Cheap Candy

Tonight I made a quick Walmart run. I needed some candy for tomorrow. :)

I was thankful to find cheap bags of candy at Walmart. I'm ready for tomorrow. 

It's a GIRL

Well I haven't talked much about being pregnant on this blog.  Today we found out the baby in my belly causing my hip pain and endless tiredness is a girl! No surprised. Girls are tough! :)

Anyways, Josh is super pumped to have a little girl he won't be able to say no to. (I'm in trouble!) Me. After all troubles we've had, I'm just happy to hear it was still healthy. I wasn't as excited as everyone else to find out the sex. Family pressure won the battle. I guess you're supposed to paint and buy gender color things. Who knew?! 

No really, I'm just a smart ass, I'm aware, but I would have been fine either way. God apparently thought we needed a girl. Maybe our pregnancy battles have humbled me to just be happy with what we get. Maybe knowing all my family and good friends haven't been as fortunate makes the color of a room or clothing seem less important to me. Who knows. 

As I type I feel fortune to have an awesome husband and such supportive family and friends. I am thankful for the kind words and support. I'm thankful to finally have a healthy baby. :) 

Packing

I'm not a fan of packing. Who is really? But tonight Josh motivated me to help him pack some of our kitchen up. We did just that too. We packed and cleaned out a few cabinets. Wahoo!

I did enjoy doing a little cleaning and throwing away too. We got a lot done in little time. 

I'm thankful Josh motivated us to start packing! 

Workout

TToday I'm proud of my workouts. I made myself get up and do 20 minutes on the elliptical and some light lifting. 

This evening we played some full court basketball.   It was a lot of fun. I felt really good too. 

I'm thankful for my two workouts today!!

Dads birthday

Tonight we got to go to Tara's for some family time. We celebrated my dads birthday with dinner, cake, ice cream, and presents. We even carved some pumpkins. 

Tara and Craig are great hosts. All the kids had so much fun playing together too. 

I am thankful some fun family time today!

Thursday

Thursday was a long day! Ahhh! Long day of work and athletics. 

The best part of the day was going home to Josh who made stew from our leftover roast. And Alexis and Tori were there too! They all waited for me to eat dinner with them. Yummy. We had a fun filled dinner and then some Grey's Anatomy! Good times!

I'm thankful for my fun evening after a long day of work! :)

Kindness

Tonight we received an overwhelming act of kindness. We were both very surprised. We are thankful for such awesome kind people in our lives! 

Walk on the Trail

I'm trying to exercise.  I'm trying to stay fit. I'm trying. 

So tonight when Josh got home from work, I made him walk the dogs on the trail with me. We walked another 2 miles on the nice fall evening. It was fun. Dogs love it too!

I'm thankful for our walk tonight. 

Monday - Target

Tonight I couldn't just sit around. I was in severe Tigers Depression. It was bad. 

So I texted Alexis and Tori asking them to meet me at Target. I figured I might as well start looking at baby stuff. Also, had to get Trisha a gift for her Sprinkle. 

We looked around. Had a little fun. Picked out some fun baby stuff and got Trisha some gifts. :)

I was thankful I didn't sit all night long and we had a fulfilled trip to Target!

Sunday Visitors

Today we spent some time with Josh's family. They came down for a visit. We did some shopping and some packing. It was nice to visit with his family. I'm glad we could spend time with them. 

Saturday Lunch

I'm thankful for lunch with Kathy and Jenna. Jenna hadn't been home in a while due to a busy schedule. When Kathy saw us, she hugged us both and then started crying. She missed her only daughter. Sad. 

I'm glad we got to sit and chat for a while. It was a good time. 

Friday

I'm just very thankful for Friday! Wahoo!

Watching the Boys

Tonight we watched the boys.  They are so darn cute! We played games. We took baths. We watched the Tigers. We played iPad. It was a great time! I love spending time with my nephews. They love Uncle Josh too!

Softball

Today I got to watch some SAU softball. It was nice to chat with some western alumni and to watch some ball. It made me a little excited for our season. 

I'm thankful for a night of softball and alumni! 

Helping Out

The last two days we helped out Alexis and Tori. Tori's car had over heated and needed to go to the shop. Yesterday I got to help her take her car to the shop. Today Josh drove the truck to work and let Tori and Lexi use the car. Tonight they retuned the car and finished watching the Tigers game with us. We love helping out Alexis and Tori. It's nice to know we can help out people in need. It's a good feeling.  

Today I'm thankful for being able to help people out!

Sun shine

I'm so thankful that the sun was shining today. I'm very thankful that its October and the sun shines. I'm thankful it was warm enough to wear shorts and a tshirt! It's so awesome!!

Fun Sunday

My Sunday was awesome!

I woke up to my nephews who can now get out of bed safely and come wake me up. (Like I didn't hear them...) So cute. We ate breakfast together making Mickey Mouse pancakes. 

After they left, Alexis and Tori came over to go to lunch at Panera of course and to visit Tara. We ate our awesome lunches, ironically all in TIGERS gear. Then we took some lunch to Tara and Paige. Alexis and Tori hadn't met baby Roman yet.  Tara and Paige ate. We went outside and rode the four wheeler with Paige, played on the swing set, fed the cats. She was so happy to have 'friends' to play with her. It was sunny and hot. A beautiful fall day.  We had a great time!

Then we left and checked out the new softball fields and our new house! :) 

I made some dinner, soup and then took a wonderful N A P! Whoop whoop. I did have to go to my Uncles dad's funeral visitation though. Sad. 

Josh got home. Alexis and Tori came over for dinner and the Tigers!! We had a great time! 

  

Currently, Josh is in bed as I am watching the Tigers kick some Red Sox ass! And I'm waiting for Josh's laundry to be switched to the dryer... He just couldn't stay awake. Guess you don't sleep on camping weekends. Ha

I'm thankful for my productive Sunday!

Nephews

I love spending time with my nephews. I love that they are over here tonight. I love that they like to come to my house. They are so precious. I just can't get enough of them. We enjoyed some chocolate milk and some pizza rolls too!

Alumni

Today I was proud of the word alumni. It was homecoming Friday at Western. I love being a Western alumni. I'm proud of the education I received here. 

Today however, I was contacted by many alumni and even visited by many today. That's an awesome feeling!!! It reminds me why I love my job. 

I'm thankful for homecoming and for Western alumni!!

Thursday Night TV

Today is Thursday! 

The BEST TV night! Not only that but it's a Tigers play off night! Game 5!!

So I made dinner! Alexis and Tori came over. It's an awesome night!! I love when Alexis and Tori come over to hang out. 

Grey's is or was on but we are watching it via DVR and the Tigers! Go Tigers!

Also, I'm DVRing Parenthood. It's a great show too! Can't wait to watch it this weekend. Whoop whoop!

I love Thursday nights! So thankful for them!

Run

Today I made myself get a hold of my friend Julie and run. We ran slightly over 2 miles...maybe. I am very glad we ran this sunny fall afternoon. I was reminded of how great I feel after I workout. 

I'm thankful for my run today!

Helpful People

Today there were many helpful people when cleaning up the gym area. It was awesome! I appreciate the coaches and students who helped me clean up tonight.

Grandparents

Today I was privileged enough to have brief visits with my both my grandma's and Josh's grandparents. I only got to visit with my grandma and grandma Lewis for a few minutes after mowing their yards. I had to hurry home to visit with Josh's grandparents who were driving over an hour to visit us. We haven't seen them in a long time. We went to dinner and visited with them. Grandma Bassett made her famous sugar cookies and knitted us a cute baby gift! School colors! :). Grandparents are awesome. 

I'm thankful I got to spend some time with our grandparents today!

Sunday Nap

After taking Paige home, it started to rain. Ugh. I couldn't mow grandmas. Dang it!

So I did plan B. Grabbed lunch at Panera and headed home. I ate my soup and sandwich alone. I cleaned out bathrooms and switched the loads of laundry. 

Then I hit the couch. I hit it hard. Silenced my phone. I was out within minutes. I slept for over an hour in the pouring rain. :) ahhh! It was awesome. 

Today, I'm thankful for my Sunday nap!

Time with Paige

Paige doesn't really love nap time. She tries to fight it. Today, we got a bottle and went into the spare room. I didn't even bother with the pack and play. We went straight to the big bed. She drank the bottle, handed it to me, rolled over on my arm and was out! I couldn't believe it. She slept next to me so peacefully. I just love that kid. She's so sweet!!!! 

I'm thankful for my Saturday nap with Paige. 

Family

Tonight we had a family emergency. Tara had to get to the hospital quickly. We were able to have some help getting Paige picked up. Josh and I picked Paige up and took her to Panera for dinner. She was already telling us mommy and daddy went to the doctors with Roman! We spent the evening with Paige. I love being able to have her over to spend the night 

I'm thankful she's comfortable at our house and wants to stay with me and Josh. 

Winning

Today I was happy to witness some solid winning at Western. I watched the freshman, JV, and Varsity volleyball teams crush Lansing Waverly. They played well. I saw excited players and coaches. I saw some life in the gym. I saw winning! Thank goodness. 

I'm thankful for winning! 

Dinner Delivery

Today my awesome mom made us dinner. She baked some bread, cooked some goulash, picked up a salad, fruit bowl and some strawberry cheese cake. Top that off with some sweet Halloween socks and my favorite candy Sixlets! :) Yummy. 

It was so nice of my mom to spend time cooking for us. She's great. I still feel awful so not having to cook was great. 

I am very thankful for my moms great dinner tonight!

Josh is awesome

I seriously feel awful. This damn sinus infection has me so dizzy and sick. My head wants to explode.  I came home and took a long nap. Had to. 

Josh was awesome. He went grocery shopping and picked up dinner for us too! He rocks. 

I appreciate Josh's willingness to help out when I'm not feeling well.
