Random Cards

I came home to mail on the counter. People don't usually send you a letter unless its an invitation to attend something of theirs; wedding, shower, party etc. This of course involves you purchasing a gift or writing a check. Other mail is usually bills. Josh has a rule, we only get mail on Thursday's. Thus, today happens to be Thursday.

Today my card was in a red envelope. I knew the hand writing right away. I couldn't help but smile. Jenna! My best friend Jenna. Jenna and I had known each other for 15 years, since middle school ages. We played sports together and Jenna was the JV coach when I first got hired for the varsity softball job. We had so much fun coaching together. I always keep her in the loop during my seasons. Jenna was part of some really successful Western Softball. If I need advice or motivation, Jenna sends it.

We are both card people. I purchase and send cards frequently. But tonight's not only made me smile, but reminded me to send more cards. It just makes someone feel good.

After what feels like a forever long week, I came home to open this red envelope. The card is totally Jenna. Tonight I am thankful for the 'I don't want anything, thanks for being my friend', card. Love you Jenna!
