Oh, Christmas Tree!

Today we got our Christmas tree. The plan was to travel all the way out to the tree farm, but a tip from a friend told me there was some down the road. I checked it out after school. I searched and found one I liked right away. Josh didn't care if I picked it out alone. So, I saved us some time. We loaded it up the car and took it home. I had all intentions of just letting it sit in the garage tonight, but motivation to see it lit up, won me over. Josh helped me cut it and get it inside.

I spent a massive amount of time putting on the lights. I learned this grave obsession from my mother. Years of helping her string, unstring, and restring until it was up to her standards grew on me. I did the same thing tonight. I started with some lights and then took all four strands off and started with a different kind. I told Josh I was turning into my mom!! Ahh! Then I get a text from my sister, pretty much saying the same thing as she was decorating her tree too! Hilarious! I laughed aloud.

I finally got my tree the way I like it. I love Christmas trees. I realize now why my mother was so picky. :) I'm thankful for our tree.
