In the afternoon, I decided to take Paige out of the house to have some fun on the trail. We had her stroller and I was going to run while she rode. She kept saying. "Faster Aunt Tonya!" Talk about motivating. Ha. I made the mistake of letting her out of the stroller to throw rocks in the lake. From then on, we had at least 3/4 of a mile to go. She thought she wanted to run with me with no shoes on. She ran and ran. The kid never got tired. She'd stop, take a drink and keep on going. I couldn't believe it. At one point, I thought maybe she could be a runner. People smiled as they passed us. She just said hi and kept running. I loved that she didn't mind getting sweaty or that she was barefoot. It was awesome! If it hasn't been for the dark clouds over our cars, she would have run the last .1 miles too. But I had to grab her and run. She had so much on the trail today.
I'm thankful for my time with Paige today. She's peacefully asleep in our spare room. :)
