Friday Post - Pre-District

Friday was a long day, but a great one. I just didn't have time to post.

This time of year is so exciting, yet also so sad. I hate knowing the seniors are near the end.

Friday was potentially the 'last practice'. If we lost, we were done. Season over. No more softball. No more seniors. Sad.

There are some traditions that Western Softball carries during this last practice. First we always say how it could be the 'last infield', we have the 'left field thing', then we take a few pictures, we sign the wall inside the press box too. We hope it's not the last practice...

My favorite part of the evening is going to my moms for dinner and fishing. We started this tradition years ago. My mom and Larry make dinner and sting lots of fishing poles for fishing. :) They are awesome. We don't have to provide a thing. They clean and cook for my our team to come enjoy time together. After spaghetti, we head outside to fish. It's a completion for most. Biggest fish or most fish too! Ha.  I think the girls really enjoy this evening together too. I know I do.

Tonight I am thankful for our Pre-District rituals in the Western Softball program.
