Naps

I love Sunday afternoon naps. After Josh and I did our chores around the house and yard, we crashed on our couches. I love naps. 

I'm thankful for our Sunday afternoon nap today! :)

Yard Work

Today we did some serious yard work starting at 9am. Larry and my mom came with a chain saw to cut down a branch blocking my sun from the deck. We found a few others to cut too. Two hours later, that was all cleaned up. Thanks to my mom and Larry for their help! 

Then I decided since it was a shitty cloudy day, I would just do yard work. Josh requested us washing some windows so we completed that nasty, not fun task. Then I got a little crazy and decided to weed some areas. The rock area by our house was a joke. I sprayed so much weed killer, I think the rocks will die!! After two hours of weeding, I decided to do some mulch. I drove to pick it up - 1 1/2 yards. I shoveled all but 10 scoops as Josh came at the end to help. Blah. (He was working on some other tasks).

The yard looks awesome! :)

I am thankful for my day of yard!

Me Day

Today I did all things I enjoy.

1. Two good workouts. One with my good friend Marni. Then I ran on my own. It feels good to work hard. 

2. I went to lunch with my sister, Jess, mom, the girls and Avery AT Panera. :)

3. Thanks to the Oliver's, I enjoyed reading my book by the pool. :) It was quiet and peaceful. 

4. I went shopping with Josh in Lansing. I got a few shirts. We ate dinner and had fun hanging out. 

Today I didn't clean. I didn't do any laundry.  I didn't help someone with a project. I didn't mow any yards. It was a selfish Friday. Loved it!

I'm thankful for my me day!

Thursday Tigers Game!

I went to my first Tigers game of the season yesterday. My mom had Larry's ticket open so she asked me to go. I love going to Tigers games so of course I went! :) My mom and I had lunch. We shooed and both purchased new Tigers shirts! We had some fat free calorie free French fries and diet Pepsi's. Loved it!

It was a nice warm sunny day. Their seats are nice ones too.  Very open. Wish the Tigers would have won, but oh well. We had fun!

Golfing!

Today my good friend Marni and I walked the short course at Cascades. It wasn't our best golf, but it was great to be outside and golfing. My first outing of the summer. Fun times! I appreciate Marni. She's a good golfer too! We had a great time. I'm glad she wanted to golf with me today.

Paige

Today I got to spend my day with Paige. She's so cute. We swam, jumped on the trampoline, got breakfast at Panera and played outside. She has such a kind heart. She's also one smart cookie. We really enjoy being part of her life!

Shopping in Ann Arbor

I love summer!

This afternoon I met up with my friend Jenna in Ann Arbor. We shopped hitting most our favorite stores. Then we ate some Panera for dinner. We then shopped at Dick's Sports looking for some running shoes. Our night cap was Kohls. Ann Arbors is so much better! Jenna and I have been friends for a long time. It's fun to shop and talk with her. I'm thankful it's summer time and we can hangout on 'school' nights! 

Summer

Today I am thankful for summer! I love 80+ degrees! I love being outside and being tan. I love time to read and mow and go to the lake and swim and coach and eat ice cream. :)

Visit with Friends

Tonight Tara, Paige, and I had plans to watch a movie at Amanda's. The boys were fishing in their yearly trip so we decided a gathering was over due. We had movie theater pop corn and watched Safe Haven. Cute movie. We talked too and shared some laughs. I'm thankful that Amanda and Tara have continued to be friends since middle school. I'm thankful we could all hang out tonight too! 

Friday

Today (Friday) I went out to the country club to pick up my school credit card from our golf coach Tom Benner. Tom has worked at the country club for more than 25 years as the golf caddy guy. He works in the pro shop too. Tom knows everyone in town. He's taught and worked in Jackson for years! Nice old man. :)

When I arrived, he took me on a tour of the golf course. I was surprised, but didn't mind the tour. I've never played there. It was nice. Tom then gave me three dozen golf balls to keep. He said I always help him in athletics. Also, he gave me some drivers and clubs he wasn't using and thought I could use. That was a huge surprise! I offered him money too. 

I'm thankful I got to tour the golf course and got some sweet golf gear from Mr. Benner. What a nice guy!

Book

Today I started a new book. Love reading in the summer!!!  I started a book read 54% by midnight. Wahoo!

I love the lake!

I mean I really, really, really love the lake. I love the sun. I love the boat. I love sun shine and tanning. But mostly, I enjoy the friends and family too. I lake is such a relaxing place. I just love to drive the boat around and enjoy a place far from everyone else. 

Today Tara and Jess had the day off and thought we should enjoy the lake! Great idea! I went too. Brooklyn and Paige just love hanging out together. They have so much fun. It's awesome!! I had a lot of fun at the lake today. I love summer!

I'm thankful for our time at the lake today! I'm finally feeling like its summer!

Cleaning

I hate when you have to get our your season of clothes to wear. Boy is that not fun. Buzz kill really. So after my run tonight, I cleaned out my dressers taking out the winter clothes and adding the summer. Who knew I had 8 tigers tshirts and three full stacks of Western Softball shirts. Ha! 

It wasn't fun, but I got it done. I'm thankful I got a summer to do item checked off my list tonight. 

52 Girls

Tonight we started our female workouts. Four coaches and 52 athletes came into the gym ready to workout. It was very impressive!! I'm thankful for opening night being so successful! 

Run

Today I ran the block again. 3.5 miles. It wasn't as bad as the day before, but my time was still awful. Guess my fat butt better keep running!! I'm thankful I made myself run the whole block when running just 1.5 miles sounded like a better plan. 

I'm also thankful Josh mowed our lawn tonight. He rocks! Even Paige thinks so. She got him a cool grilling apron for Fathers Day! That was so nice of Tara and Craig.  I'm thankful for the nice family members we have too. :)

Busy Day

5 Open Houses, 1 wedding all with a 22 month old. I am thankful Josh being a trooper all day helping. I'm thankful for Paige being good. I'm thankful for the families and players lives I've been part of for so long. I'm thankful for the great weather. I'm thankful today is over. 

Run

I made myself run outside today. It was hot. I'm fat. I'm out of shape. I'm mad at myself for not working out the past two months. Running today was hard. Ugh. 

I forgot to post this yesterday. I'm off this morning to run again. 

I'm thankful I am running again even if it kills me. 

A visit to the Scholten's

Our wonderful neighbors let my sister come over and swim with the boys. When it was time to leave, Wyatt did not want to leave. He asked his mom if he could stay the night and she finally caved in. 

Wyatt got to go with us to theScholten's house for dinner! Wyatt and Annie played outside and with some bubbles. They really had a good time together. Josh and I really enjoyed seeing our friends too. We hadn't been there in a while. Max is growing stronger each day. Annie is still one smart cookie. :). Beth and Shannon both look great too. It was nice to eat dinner and talk with them. 

I miss our friends the Scholten's but was glad we could visit with them and take Wyatt too. :) I'm thankful for a fun day.
