When I see this word, I list a MILE starts running through my head. My stomach turns and my mind pictures myself with my fingers in my ears saying 'nah nah blah blah, blah!"
I was so excited for my break to start so I could finally get a lot done. Yea, well who was I kidding right? Four days of Christmas activities, a birthday, traveling, concession stand duties last Friday, and two days of the knock me down can't stand up flu bug, pretty much sucked away my days. Yea, yea, two weeks off...I suck.
I also sucked it up on the workouts too. Today, I got distracted at the school and only ran one mile in the chilly hallways did some sit ups and push ups. Boo me! However, during my distraction, Scott and I discussed winter and spring workouts and equipment. We need a plan for practices during winter/spring construction. I felt we came up with some good ideas.
I did however make myself work on some softball items before I left my office. I worked on the mom to mom sale, I counted some money, and updated the donations spreadsheet, and made a deposit at the credit union. I am proud of myself for completing these tasks. They are time consuming and down right stressful.
I ran a few errands in town and then spent some time doing some research at Panera. I also dabbled in some Christmas video DVD making this afternoon when I got home. I enjoy computer activities. That was fun. Less stressful too. My blog now feels more 'me' too. I also made dinner. I am pretty sure I hate cooking more than most, correction, ANY household tasks, but I did it. Ugh.
One positive, as I walked into our spare room today, I noticed the softball collage frame on my wall. A gift from the team. It was from my first year of coaching varsity softball 2013!! I couldn't believe 10 years! I smiled and took a picture. I then proceeded to text it to 8 of the 12 alumni's numbers I had. Their responses were great! I love thinking of softball memories from my first year coaching today. So many great people and memories!! One my sister and friend Amanda. Good times!
The last few days, I've found myself wanting a change. As I look around my house, I see 20 things I would like to change or update, but I think we'd rather sell. I really haven't felt this driven to update or move since we've lived here. Maybe it's time. Bye, bye savings account...
I did get some things cleaned up around our home today. I sold our extra TV and picked up and threw things we don't need away. That's a plus. I enjoyed a movie I had not seen in years too on the couch. Ha!
I think today I'm just thankful for time. I kept getting upset at myself for not getting more done, but then I reminded myself....there's always tomorrow! :)
Today I'm thankful, but not thankful for procrastination!
