The early morning burst got Josh and I right out of bed as Mylo ran back to the spare bathroom. This of course was followed by Champ and Marla thinking it was time to play. And of course, the baby Eastyn heard the commotion and woke up as well. Wyatt, age 2 1/2, was dead asleep still. Phew!! Now you moms out there are laughing, "Bahahahaha! Did that, done that. Four hours is a good night! Etc, etc." But here in the kid free home, it wasn't easy.
Luckily, I changed Eastyn, gave him a few ounce bottle and he was out. Mylo, on the other hand, was still hurting and spent the rest of the morning crying off and on on the couch with a 'belly ache'. He even asked for a "puke bowl". Poor kid. After just having the flu, I felt awful for him each time he woke up crying. Turned out by 8am, we were all up watching Sesame Street on the couches. ;)
Breakfast, clothes changes, dirty diapers, showers etc and we loaded up the car for the kid exchange at Grandma Stevens.
Now don't get me wrong, I love my nieces and nephews a ton. I'd watch them anytime. But tonight as I lay in bed blogging, I'm thankful that the only sound I might wake to tonight are our dogs. ;) And no kid will 'stop breathing' in a pack and play under our roof tonight. Phew! God Bless all you mothers.
Good night!!
