Lazy Monday

Woke up feeling awful today. It was very difficult to get myself up to feed Addison. My fever was back and my head was killing me. However, what do you do? Josh had to go to work and I had to be a mom. :). Addison was pretty fussy today, but we survived. The human body is an amazing thing. It can't stand poking, prying, sucking, bleeding, and little to no sleep. It's amazing!

Today I also got to watch the Tigers win their home opener!

I'm thankful for my lazy Monday at home with Addison.

Sunday - ER Trip

Today I woke up at 530am with some sharp pains in my stomach. They continued all day all the way down to my lower abs. Each time they would come, I'd get hot and dizzy. It was awful. Had a fever too. I started to get a little nevous especially since I gave birth 14 days prior. Maybe an infection.

Josh was awesome. He packed up everything we needed to go to the hospital. Things for the baby and me too. He was great! We ended up staying about four hours. It wasn't any fun for my already tore up body. But they needed to rule out everything.

After an IV and ultra sounds and blood work, they came to the conclusion that I had the flu. I felt a little foolish, but was glad it wasn't anything inside of me causing an infection. :/

I'm thankful that Josh is so helpful and patient. He even made me sleep when we got home for a while. My fever was back. Ugh. I made it through the night though so I'm glad. I'm also thankful that Allegiance got me in and out of there in less than four hours.

Dinner Deliveries

Tonight we were fortunate enough to have two dinner deliveries. The first was soup and goodies from the Raehtz's. They've always been nice to me and our family. Vickie messaged me to see what she could do for Trisha's family too! She made them the soup as well. It was very nice of both of them to come visit and bring the meals.

Shortly after that my mom and larry called asking if they could bring us dinner. We of course, didn't argue and took up the offer. :)

We are very thankful for the people who brought us meals. We are lucky to have such great friends and family.

Thursday with Wyatt

I'm so happy that Wyatt was able to come to our house and stay the night. I'm thankful that Josh is so willing to help me too.  He helped Wyatt with dinner and playing some games. He's a great uncle.

Wyatt said he loves coming to our house! Glad we were able to have him here.

Lunch at Panera

Today Addison enjoyed her first trip to Panera!! :)

It was nice to get out of the house and it NOT being the doctors office. Phew! We had a fun lunch with the kids too.

I'm thankful for my sister and friend Jess as they ventured out into town to have lunch. Also, Tara took some good pictures of baby Addison today. They are great!!

Visit from the Scholten's

Today Addison and I had visitors. My dear friend Bethany and her two kids came all the the way from Holt to visit. Bethany is so awesome. She brought us a homemade dinner and snacks and dessert and a cute gift for Addison. I don't know how she finds the time to do it, but she does. Bethany has never seize to amaze me in the 11+ years I've known her. Annie is growing up so fast. She's in a pre-school class too. Max is fighting his way each day too. He continues to challenge Bethany in trying to find a cure for his nightly seizures.

I'm so thankful for our visit today. I miss Bethany living right down the road too.

Sunday

I was so happy that we got to go visit my sister Trisha and her family today. I had felt terrible since the night I have birth to Addison.  Trisha had to go back to the hospital and couldn't wait any longer for me to get done. She left hoping go see her new niece, but it didn't work out because Nick had to get back to work. She had to be with Eastyn. I felt horrible. Still feel horrible!

I asked Josh Sunday if we could go out there. I'm so glad he understood and we took the drive to see them. I love my family more than anything else really. As soon as I saw Eastyn, I cried. I felt awful. He's so fragile. He let me hold him and sat in my lap for a long time. I wish they lived closer. Wyatt was jealous of Addison. Mylo was happy to see is and went outside to shoot guns with Josh. Emmie was just her cute self. Trisha and nick are doing pretty good despite all they are going through. It's impressive.

I'm thankful for our family visit Sunday.
