First Day on the Lake

Today Tara wanted to go to the lake. It was supposed to be 80 degrees and sunny! I really wanted to enjoy some time in the sun. Unfortunately, it wasn't as sunny as we had hoped, but we went out anyways. Paige and I drove the boat. The boys metal detected. We had a fun trip to the lake!

I also got to meet my good friend Becky's baby Hannah. They were visiting from Illinois. It was nice to visit with them too.

My day was a great day.  It signaled the start to summer too! Wahoo!

I'm thankful for a great day!

End of the Season - Thank You's

Tonight we celebrated with our end of the season celebration. The parents brought desserts and us coaches talked about each player and passed out awards.

It was another bitter sweet day. It was fun to see the girls, but sad to know this great season has officially ended. Sad. I really love this group of girls. I couldn't ask for a better group. Honestly.

I appreciate all the work they out into the program. I also appreciate Michelle for coming back to help during May and June. I also appreciate Janna Klassen for helping out so much this season. I also appreciate Donna and her help all year long.

The girls kept the tradition going and made me another scrap book. It was great. Also, they made a huge picture frame collage of photos. I will certainly hang this in my office.

I am thankful for such a great group of people to work with and who share the same passion for softball! :)

Josh

Today I am thankful for Josh. I've been trying to get things wrapped up for our end of season awards while keeping up with the lawns I mow and trying desperately to workout. Also, with the construction, I've had to completely clear out all our softball equipment in the softball pressbox. That has been a huge chore. Crazy really.

After a 13 hour day of work and mowing and gutter cleaning and trimming bushes, I called Josh who was in a good mood. I picked up dinner and headed home. He and mowed the entire lawn for us and had the trailer all loaded and ready to bring home one more load from the school. He's awesome!

We ate and headed up to load up. Josh really had a great attitude about helping me too. I appreciate that because its been hard to stay positive. :/

I am thankful for my awesome husband Josh!

Monday Blah

Ugh today was just not a good day. Mostly because of the crappy weather. I just really suck at rainy days especially when it's supposed to be HOT! I don't do well mentally with nasty weather.

My plans were ruined so I decided to go watch some little league softball. I got to watch two Western teams. There is some talent coming up to Western Softball. I'm glad my friends the Oliver's are investing some time into softball. Julie's team dominated the red team. Nice to see. :) Julies team had fun and were doing some good things fundamentally. I am excited about the 5th and 6th graders I saw tonight.

I'm thankful for some good little league talent coming up. :)

Nephews

I hadn't hung out with my nephews in a long time. Today I picked them up at 2:30pm and hung out with them all night.

We went to grandma a grandmpa Larry's to fish and eat dinner. That was fun! Then we rode some bikes and played some puzzles. We came home and took baths. We ate popcorn and watched some TV. I got to rock Eastyn to sleep. He's such a loving little guy. Then Wyatt and I got some time to play some puzzles on the iPad together.  As I tucked Wyatt in, he asked me to lay with him. How can you resist a three year olds request like that? He fell asleep instantly. So cute!

We had breakfast and played outside.

I really enjoyed my time with my nephews. I'm thankful they could stay over night.

Date Night

Had a fun date night with Josh tonight. We actually ate dinner on a Friday before 8pm. Whoop whoop. The movie 'Now You See Me' was surprising good too. Since we haven't been to a movie since beforeChristmas, we got to use our gift card too. Free movie! Even better!

I'm thankful for our date night tonight.

Run

I finally got my lazy ace out for a run. I have been sooooooooo lazy. I can't get myself to get motivated. It's the end of the year. It's the end of softball season. I've been going 100 miles an hour. I've yet to be home before 8:30pm all week.

Bahahahaha! Those are all excuses that discipline, fit, in shape people who care about their bodies make to help make themselves feel better about their fatness. Ugh and boy do I feel fat these days.  It's bad.

So tonight, at 8:40pm I made myself run. I was only going to run a mile, but I made it two! I wanted to stop, but kept telling myself not to. Also, I kept reminding myself how hard I push my players each day. So I didn't stop (only to chat with the Fedewa's who stopped along side the road to say hi). I finished my run, did some exercises and took a shower.

Man, I'm thankful my guilty conscience kicked in high gear tonight. I ran. I need to keep running! Go me!
