Birthdays

I forgot to post this yesterday!!

I am very thankful that my family celebrates birthdays. I love that Aunt Mary and Uncle Rocky and Grandma come too. Tara did a great job getting other house prepped, cleaned, and all the food ready for us to eat. I appreciate her doing this too. It was fun to hang out with my family on a Friday night. :)

I'm thankful for a family that spends time together.

Supportive Fans

Tonight we hosted the Regional Girls Basketball Finals.  Goodrich came in as the defending champion going 28-0 last year! 28-0!! That's sweet. They were pretty good.

However, I really enjoyed their fans as they arrived. Even thought it was a 97.3 mile drive ONE WAY, they had fans!  We chatted with a few of them. I asked if they had grand daughters on the team, many said NO! They were here just to cheer them on. They said it's a tight community and they had been following the team for years. I was impressed by these fans. Many of them had a Goodrich shirt, jacket, hat, or coat on as they entered. Impressive really. They were all friendly and kind too. The fan support was fun to witness. Even though it wasn't for our school, it made me happy to see a female sport get such respect and support.

Tonight I was thankful for supportive fans!

Work Outs

I was impressed by our players today during our softball workouts. We had 22 girls in the gym working to get in shape. Even the freshman worked hard. It was pretty impressive. No one quit! Everyone worked hard.

Success

I feel like I had two successes today.

One Coach Farmer and I met with our softball seniors today. We talked about leadership and expectations. I'm confident my seniors know our program expectations and will help make our first week successful.

Also, athletics ran a very successful Class B Regional for girls basketball. We had enough workers and signs everywhere. People were happy.

Today I'm thankful for both my success stories.

Anxiety

Lately I've been feeling a lot of anxiety. I really can't explain why. I love this time of year. Spring. Softball. All the things I love. I just feel so buried right now. Lack of gym space. Not 100% sure about how we are going to run try outs. Ahh! The list goes on. Busy athletic week! Spring break in Florida with HS girls! Ahh!

Anyway, some of you reading are like, "oh yeah 'weak sauce!' Try having kids! Try teaching all day." Anyway, I'm feeling more anxiety than I've ever felt before. It's odd to me. Today, I literally was talking to myself telling myself to breath and take it day by day. What is wrong with me!?!?

Anyway, today I saw this picture on one of my multiple social media sites that take up too much time in my life! It really made me laugh and slow down and breathe. I'm pretty sure God dropped a reality bomb on me today with this quote. Had to save it.

I truly believe God put this out there for me today. It helped. Thank you God for reminding me what you do, even if you did swear. :)

Sun Shine

Today even though it was cold, I was very thankful for the sun shine. The sun just makes a day happier!

Thank you God for brightening everyone's weekend with a little sunshine. :)

Lansing

Tonight Alexis and Tori and I made a spur of the moment trip to Lansing. We decided to check out Dick's Sporting Goods and check out the shoes. We hit the book store. We ate some dinner at Chili's too.

It was a fun, non planned trip. :)

I'm thankful for our last minute trip to Lansing.
