Snowfest

Holy crazy day! I have so much to say, but I'm losing energy quickly.

Snowfest is always a crazy day. Crazy. Two assemblies. Kids never go to class. It's a 17 hour work day! We set up and clean up. The entire community is in the school. It's fun and crazy!

Student council did a great job today too. Alaina Sharp and Kim Shore rocked. They even stayed around to not only watch, but to get the student section fired up for the girls game too! That was surely appreciated my many.

I'm thankful some of our students an staff were so helpful today. Hannah Boyt with the clock. Janna Klassen and Brenda Bolenbaugh with admission. The JV girls basketball team helped me out with set up!

Some great seniors were on court. One was a softball player! Julia Zoski looked awesome today! Her parents were so proud too! All and all a great night!

I am thankful I got to help with Snowfest 2013 today!

Dedication

Today we had a lot of girls at softball workouts going hard at speed and agility drills. I also had a junior want to pitch after her basketball practice today! Very impressive! I'm thankful we have some dedicated softball girls today! Looking forward to softball 2013!

Potato Soup

Panera changed their menu around Christmas break. Potato soup used to be on Saturday's! Now it's Wednesday. So today about noon, I thought how awesome it'd be if I could have it for lunch. It's cold in the school right now. Really cold. Brrr!

So at 4pm tonight, I texted Josh and said potato soup sounds awesome. He said let's go tonight. Wahoo!  We went and I enjoyed the soup for dinner.  Yumm!

I'm thankful for potato soup for dinner!!

Deliveries

Today I was fortunate to have my favorite things delivered to me at work.

Tara and Paige showed up at lunch time to bring me some lunch. Whoop whoop! I spent a few minutes in the car with them. Paige showed me a book and her new Mickey Mouse movie. She's so cute! I appreciate that Tara brought me lunch. She rocks!

Today was a 14 hour day. As I was covering the basketball games tonight, my friend Julie brought me a fountain Diet Pepsi. Loved it! Awww!

I appreciate the people in my life who go the extra mile to do nice things for me! I'm thankful my friends and family so nice things for me.

Giving Back

I try very hard to give back to everyone, well MOST everyone who does something for me. I'm sure there are some people I've forgotten along the way. I'm working in that though.

I have purchased candles from girls for choir. I bought candy from band kids. I buy 50/50 tickets at basketball games home and away at times. I donate to can drives and coat drives. I buy cookies and candy etc from students and athletes for their causes.

I do this not so I can blog about it or brag, but because I know I ask a lot from others for our softball program. I know it's the right thing to do. It also makes me happy to know I help someone reach a goal or quota they need for an event or trip. :)

The past few days I've reached out to a lot of alumni, friends, co-workers, and family members for donations for our sale. I've been slightly surprised at the responses. I'll leave it at that...

I'm thankful for chances to give back.

Birthday's

I really like birthdays. I really enjoy celebrating someone's birthday! Birthdays are important. I've always enjoyed them. I feel compelled to wish someone a happy birthday. It's their day. I can't really explain it. I just like them.

Today we celebrated my step dad Larry's and my sister Tara's and my brother in law Nick's. Today is not their actual birthday, but it was a good time for all of us to get together and celebrate.

I love celebrating birthdays! I'm thankful my family enjoys them as much as I do too. :) More pictures to come!

One Fun-filled Day

Today was awesome. Not only was the weather 55 degrees, but it was filled with lots fun events with family and friends.

I ran outside with my friend Julie on her Birthday. I got a diet Pepsi from Panera!

My sisters and their husbands took the kids to the circus. We were a little nervous, but everyone loved it. The kids were great too. They had an awesome time. Grandpa Bob came to dinner with us too. It was a fun day with our family.

Then we got to close out the night by celebrating Julie and Owen's birthdays with the Oliver family. Very fun day!

I'm thankful for our family and friends and the fun activities we get to do with them.
