A few things...

Today I'm thankful it was our first day of break! I love vacation. I love time with my friends and family. I love time off during Christmas.

It was also my kind mother-in-laws birthday today. We talked to her this AM and wished her a happy birthday. We shall see her soon.


I love DVR. It's the best invention! Unfortunately mine hasn't been working! However ours had been on the fritz. The Comcast guy saved us today. We got a sweet new DVR box. It's far cooler looking too! I'm thankful for the DVR upgrade too

Christmas Break

I am so excited to be on Christmas break!! I love this time of year. Absolutely love it. Family, friends, food, and shopping. :)

I'm so excited to be home and for all our Christmas activities!

I'm thankful that my job allows me to have this time of year off! :)

Returners

I enjoyed a few hours after school with my returning players. Every year, we get together around Christmas time to have some food and just enjoy each others company. I really enjoy these girls. They are great! I hope they have a Merry Christmas with their family and friends! :)

I'm thankful for my time with my returning softball players today.

Dinner at the Scholten's

Josh and I traveled to Holt to have dinner with Shannon, Bethany, Annie, and now MAX! It was great to spend some time with them outside of the hospital again. It's awesome that Max is home. He's still on oxygen, but he's doing well. I'm extremely thankful that they were able to go home for Christmas. We exchanged some Christmas gifts and had some dessert. Annie was so cute. She shared how she wants a purple pony! I hope Santa can find one. ;)

I'm so thankful for our friends the Scholten's. :) They are wonderful friends!

Giving

I enjoy giving gifts. In fact, I love it. It's always been my thing. I'm pretty sure it started with my mom leaving gifts for us when we were kids. She worked a lot so she would often leave us gifts on the counter for when we woke up or when we got home and she was at work. It was fun. They might be as little as candy or as big as clothes or shoes.

Today I made some gift deliveries to some friends of mine. I wanted to make sure they knew I appreciated them. It's such a rewarding feeling to give!

I'm thankful for my day of giving. :)

Shopping Alone

I can't describe how happy it makes me to head into own at night by myself and shop around. It's pressure-less. It's relaxing. It's just fun to me.

I had a few important people on my list that I needed to finish up. I wanted to find the perfect gifts for them. I was fortunate enough to do just that.

I weaved in and out of the isles drinking my diet Pepsi from Panera. I wasn't in a hurry and I enjoyed every minute of my alone time. I love to give gifts! I especially love it at Christmas time! I found some inexpensive things for some great people in my life. I am happy to show then I am thankful for our friendship.

Tonight I am thankful for my shopping trip in town tonight. :)

Sleeping In

This is something I rarely get to do in my life. It seems like we are always running somewhere or we have kids spending the night or have to pick them up in the morning. I really don't require a lot of sleep anyway, but it's nice to get it when I can. This morning I slept until 915am! Crazy! I laid around. Finished a movie we DVRd and then got ready to head into town with Josh. Loved my lazy morning!




I enjoy sleeping in every once in a while. I'm thankful I got to today!
