New Tunes

I've been running for six weeks and I keep telling myself to download more songs and update my iPod. "The music was boring me. You need to update!!!!" I kept telling myself that over and over, but I'd grab my iPod and just listen to the same tunes over and over. Blah. Blah. Blah. Running was getting boring, fast.

Tonight I finally took the time to download some new songs. I bought a new running CD. I'm pumped to listen to it on my long run on Saturday! Wahoo!

Grass might not be Greener

Today I had a meeting with all the other CAAC Conference support staff and secretaries in Lansing.

We got to share some insights to our daily jobs. Everyone one of us in the room wears two hats on a day. We all have a job title that entails duties that used to be held by two or maybe three people, but have been passed on to us. It was good to know I wasn't the only one feeling like I was drowning in my job daily. One lady, didn't have a lot of comp time after she had her baby and only got 3 weeks off! That's crazy! Another only gets paid to work from 8 to 12pm, but said she leaves about 230 every day. Ugh

Anyway, I was thankful to be reminded that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I don't want to be an old bitter person who complains. I learned a lot from my meetings today. Interesting, I tell you.

WABC

Today I am thankful for the huge turn out for the WABC meeting tonight. We really needed a lot of support from our community members. I'm glad we had a huge turn out tonight.

Dinner Conversation

Ever go out to dinner and look around at the people and see them not conversing? They sit there quite like they would rather be somewhere else?!

Well this weekend Josh and I didn't get much time together. So we went to Panera for dinner and actually had a conversation. It was a nice quite dinner together.

Today I am thankful for dinner conversation.

Fun Filled Saturday!

Oh I have many things to be thankful for today. Buy a big one is Josh. He's was so helpful today as we picked up my nephews at 8am and have been going non stop since. He's been an awesome uncle and husband today!

I will just list the activities and post some pictures of our action packed day.

8am pick up, trip to potters park zoo, lunch, stop by to see grandma and Aunt T, helped fished turtles out of the neighbors pool (28 to be exact! We think they eggs had been there for a long time!), park with Bethany and Annie, dinner with Alexis and Tori, grandma and grandpa Larry stopped by, baths, popcorn, movie! Ahhh! I don't know how so many moms do it alone! Crazy!

Today I am tankful we got to spend the day with our nephews and for Josh, Alexis, and Tori's, and my mom's helps today! :)

Backrubs

Today was a long day. I tried to workout in between as well.

Tonight when I got home Josh was nice enough to run my back for me. Aww! Loved it!

Surprise!

As I was cleaning our counter of clutter tonight, I realized I had some coupons from Dicks Sports. I opened it a little further and found a gift certificate for $30.00!! Wahoo! I closed my eyes and prayed that it hadn't expired. To my surprise, it had not!!! Expiration 9/8/12! Wahoo!

I went shopping online and purchased some running shorts. Pretty pumped about that too!

Today I'm thankful for my surprise! I love free stuff!
