Funnies

Having one of those fat days. But tonight as I sat here and searched through my Facebook newsfeed, I saw this below. Had to laugh. Too funny. Guess I needed something to be thankful for today. :)

Working Out

Today I am thankful for my workouts to begin again. I had missed my good friend Marni since I'd been out of town. Today we caught up at 7am. We did our daily workout.

Then this evening at Bean, we did a Jillian video. It's was a hot day, but I feel awesome as I climb into bed!

Sunday

Today I was thankful for a relaxing Sunday at home. We ate Panera for lunch, grocery shopped, swam, bike ride, coached some softball, and ate dinner together. It was nice to be home and enjoy Sunday with Josh.

Colorado Family

Today we said goodbye to our family in Colorado. My mom, Tara, Paige and I all had a very fun visit. It was nice to see almost all my cousins. My Aunt Donna and Uncle Paul were nice enough to let is stay rent free! :)

We went to the zoo, we ate, we shopped some outlets, we ate, we played some cards, we ate, cracked some family jokes, we ate, did some bowling, bike riding, we ate, and just enjoyed a little vacation. Oh, did I mention we ATE?!!! Ugh, gained 10 pounds!

Today I am thankful for our family visit with our Colorado family.

Long Time No See

When I was four (after reading this, my mom said I was two and Kim was three), my mom met a lady names Debbie who had a daughter named Kim. My mom started babysitting Kim and instantly we became 'best friends'. I remember Kim spending days at a time with us. We swam, rode bikes, and played all kinds of games together.

After we moved to Michigan, Kim and I stayed in touch via 'snail mail'. We wrote each other about three times a month. We sent cards and pictures. Eventually, we communicated through instant messenger, that's right, AOL style. :) The summer before 7th grade, Kim flew up here and stayed the whole summer! It was great. In high school however, we lost touch...

Last September, I got a private message from Kim Reed! She has moved to Colorado!!

Tonight we worked out arrangements to see meet up and have dinner with Kim in Castle Rock Colorado. She brought her son Alex and her brother Brandon and his wife and two month baby too. It was great to meet up with my friend from 18 years ago! My mom had spent so much time with Kim as a child, she was really happy to catch up too.

Today I am thankful for being able to meet up with my old best friend and catch up!

Colorado Bike Ride

I decided to challenge myself today. We didn't have plans today until lunch time which was awesome. Paige was up a little too early so her an Tara took a little snooze. I decided to let my mom and Aunt Donna chat so I borrowed their bicycle and went for a cruise.

I went in and out to the garage three times before I could actually leave. I forgot my sun glasses, then I decided I should take some money just in case, but lastly of course, my phone...in case I got lost or the bike malfunctioned.

Along the way, I took some pictures of the beautiful Colorado Springs scenery. How lucky was I? :) I decided that the strip mall which had my favorite place Panera, wasn't too far away. My 1.2 mile ride there was fast because it was all DOWNHILL!! I found my way pretty well. I drank a diet Pepsi and sat and listened to the business people around me all while thinking, 'ha, I'm on vacation.'

Afterwards, I pedaled around the strip mall. The I decided to head back. Now coming back to my Aunt and Uncle's wasn't as fast or easy. However, I just took my time and enjoyed it. I considered it my exercise today too.

My legs got a little burn and sore, but I made it back. It was fun to go on an adventure by myself in Colorado Springs. Today, I am glad I took my bike ride around my the hood! :)

One more thing. Tonight we decided to go bowling...the older verse the youngers with my cousin Nick. Us younger cousins tore up the adults. I even bowled a 175!! It was a lot is fun!

Zoos

Going to a zoo is awesome. It's great to see animals and let kids learn about them. Today's zoo in Colorado was pretty sweet and it was up a mountain! We all got plenty of exercise walking around pushing the strollers. It was fun to see the kids get so excited. Paige loved it too. Today I am thankful for zoos!
