Yard Work

Today was a busy day like many. The sun was shining. Temperature was soaring and one thing I needed to do a lot of catch up on my grandma's lawn...pick weeds, mow, and trim some hedges. My softball schedule has kept me kinda busy and behind. I spent over three hours at my grandmas. It was actually enjoyable. We visited, chatted. My grandma is awesome. I had some serious farmers tan I needed I get rid of today anyway. So I was happy for the blazing sun! Today I am thankful for being able to catch up on my yard work at both grandmas! :)

High School Friend

Today my team played three games in the Al Glick Softball Tournament. It was hot sunny day! My obligations were with my team for the day as my good friend Becky Nastally's wedding shower was taking place. Unfortunately, I missed it. Becky and I have been friends some high school. She's a riot. I feel badly that I missed her shower, but I came to visit her tonight. We chatted and ate some food. Becky is always a good time. Glad to still have high school friends. :)

Visitors

Tonight I am thankful for visitors. Josh is gone fishing so I was home alone. As I stepped out of the shower, I heard people in my house. Thankfully, it was just a few softball players stopping for a visit. Michelle, Abby and Hannah. :)

It was nice to have the company. I am glad they feel like they can stop by whenever they want. They are always welcome.

Confidence

Tonight I was proud of my team against Eaton Rapids. They had a strong pitcher and everyone of our girls stepped in the box with confidence that I hadn't seen in a while. I was proud of them. We got hits off their number one pitcher. I am confident our team can hit. Tonight I am thankful for confidence.

Thank You Notes!

After coming home from a tough loss which I will take blame for, I was pissed! Mad! Angry. Disappointed. Name it, I was feeling it.

I decided to go for a quick run, hoping it would make me feel better. It didn't do the trick. Still pissed when I stopped. So I decided to get the mail even though it's not Thursday.

Much to my surprise there was a cute note from my grandma! It brought tears to my eyes. :) She is such a wonderful person. I love my grandma. Today, I am thankful for grandmas note. :)

Shut Out!

Tonight I am thankful for my team and their solid play during our games against Hillsdale. We shut them out in six solid innings. Both pitchers pitched well. Our hitters combined for 30 hits and we had two errors all night. I'm glad our team had played well tonight!

Good Monday

Who doesn't hate Monday's right?! Well today's wasn't as bad as I would have thought. I woke up and made it to work very early. I wanted to get a jump start on my week. I managed to do that throughout the day. My team stopped in for a lunch visit. I love the lunch visits! Our group of girls are wonderful.

Good practice, Josh made dinner, and I even mowed my grandmas lawn!

Today, I am thankful for a good Monday! :)
