Friday

Today I was thankful for the good Black Friday deals. I may be crazy to stand in the lines, but in the end, the savings are worth it. Tara and I hit a lot of stores introducing her young Roman to the Black Friday crazies. He loved it. :)

But really, I enjoy the shopping. I was even more thankful this morning after making a quick trip into Kohls to realize the sales weren't nearly as good today. Our bank account and our family will be thankful for the Black Friday deals. Lunch at Panera was a hit too. 

Thanksgiving!

Who doesn't love the word 'thanksgiving'? First thing I think of is our family getting together to eat and then go bowling. That's exactly what we did tonight. We ate and we bowled!!

Josh and I enjoyed a relaxing morning though. We watched the parade and did some small projects around the house! It was awesome to be home and enjoy a lazy morning. We really needed it. 

We enjoyed some awesome food with over 20 people. My Aunt Chris did an awesome job of hosting. Afterwards, we headed out for some friendly bowling. 

Turns out Aunt Chris wins for the second straight year in a row. :) Nice work! Mylo, Wyatt, Eastyn, and Paige LOVED bowling. They were all really good and had a lot of fun. It was great! 

I'm thankful for my time with my family tonight. 

Annual Shopping Trip

Today was our annual shopping trip to the birch run outlets. The two hour drive is a bummer, but we always have a great time. Today we did a pretty good job of Christmas shopping. I checked many people off my list too. We ate. We shopped. We ate some more. It was a fun day despite the cold. We saved money and spent it. 

I'm thankful for the day off to shop with my mom, Tara, and Jess. 

Long Day!

Holy long day!!! Today was so long. I'm so thankful that its over. This couch is calling my name. One more get up! Then I need a break! Wahoo! I'm thankful my long day is over. 

Date Day

Josh and I got up early and worked on our individual projects until about 2pm. Then, I was done.  No more boxes or moving things around. I was sore and tired. 

We decided it was important to take some time out to go to a move and get some dinner. Hunger Games was the movie or choice with a 10 dollar popcorn and pop snack. The movie was pretty good. We both enjoyed it. We found ourselves at Fazoli's for dinner afterwards. 

It was nice to enjoy some time away together. We've spent that last two weeks or so packing and unpacking it was nice to enjoy some time away. 

I'm thankful for our date day!!

Paige and Roman

We have not watched Paige and Roman for a long time. Tara's been off of work since having Roman. 

Tonight they came over to hang out with us while their parents enjoyed dinner. We had so much fun hanging out with them too. I even forgot how hard it is to change a baby's clothes. :)

I'm thankful for our fun time with our niece and nephew. 

Parade

Tonight we went to the parade down town for the first time ever. The kids were excited to see Santa. Very excited. Luckily my sisters and myself were all able to meet in the same parking lot. We gathered and bundled up the kids for our adventure. 

They were all so excited to see each other. We talked and walked around town. It was fun. The kids ate popcorn that Aunt Tara made. We sat in the chairs from Nick and Trish brought. 

The parade was cute and short. Good thing cause it was cold. 

I'm thankful that we could all enjoy the parade with each other tonight. 

Yahtzee

Tonight we had dinner guests again. Alexis, Tori, and Rhonda all had dinner with us. We made some quesillidas and ate the last of the taco salad. It was yummy!!! 

THEN we decided to play some games!! Yahtzee was the game of choice. Rhonda kicked all our butts as she got two yahtzees!! It was a fun night. Paige even called us from grandma Patty's house too. She was a riot. 

I'm thankful for some fun family game time tonight!

Help - Mother in Law

I'm thankful for my mother-in-law. She's been here all week cleaning our previous home for rental. She's worked three full days mopping, dusting, painting, washing, and scrubbing to make our house look great for rental. 

I appreciate her willingness to stay with us this week and help us out. It's been a huge help. 

Clean Closet

Well downsizing closets pretty much sucks. I mean, it really sucks. However, it means you get to do some cleaning, sorting, and throwing away. All of those happened tonight!! With the help of Tori and Lexi, I was able to get some of my closet arranged and almost livable.  It was a big stress reliever. 

I'm thankful for the girls help today and my organized closet. 

Power is Back

I'm thankful that the power is back on. It was great to have heat and power this evening. We live such a life of luxury and don't even notice. 

I'm thankful for Consumers getting the power back on this afternoon!

Power

Today I am thankful for POWER!!

We have been without it since 5:30pm. We survived but I could not survive as a pioneer. :)

We have been thankful for our light during the day to get many boxes unpacked. And unpacking we did find our flashlights!  Whoop whoop!! 

Living without power is not fun. Today was a reminder of how grateful it is to have power! 

Moving

Moving. A word that makes everyone shutter. You mean pack up all this crap and take it somewhere else? That sounds awful. And the reality is, it is awful. But, with the help of our dear family and friends, we made it happen. Two trailers and eight vehicles later, we made three trips and got it done. Few. I got to do a lot of directing. Fortunately we had help stay most the day to help organize and set up our house. The garage looks like a tornado hit it, but it will all get done.

I'm very thankful for our dedicated family and awesome friends who helped us today. My moms awesome lunch was great too! Not sure what we would have done for fuel without her lunch. :) 

Visit with Adam and Erin

Tonight Adam and Erin came down a night early to help us move tomorrow. We got to spend a little extra time with them today. We showed them our new house, went to dinner, toured the new construction at the school. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad they came early to visit with us. I'm thankful for their willingness to help us move into our new home. 

Larry to the Rescue!

Today as I was touring my dear friend Julie around our new house, we noticed water on the ground.  Not just a little water, but LOT! Ahhh! 

Luckily, Larry was off of work and came to the rescue!!! Josh also had to take a few hours off this afternoon too. Eeek!!!

Together they were able to get the leak fixed and the basement dried up too. Wahoo!! 

I'm so thankful for Larry who gave up his afternoon to help us! He is wonderful! 

Right Paint

Tonight didn't go as planned. We had planned to paint our new house some colors I had picked out. However, that didn't go as planned. 

Did I mention I hate painting?!!!!

Tara and my mom calmly helped me pick out some more colors at Lowe's! 

Without them, I never would have had the patience to finish up tonight. I appreciate their help today! Even with an 8 week old, Tara stuck out 5 hours of helping me! 

I'm thankful for my family today. 

Help Painting

I'm thankful for our family and their help at our new house!!

Uncle Rocky went to the house today and started peeling off the wall paper in the kitchen. He got a lot done for us too. 

Tonight Tara and the kids, my mom, Josh and myself all taped and started painting. :) We did get a good portion done too. We would never get it done without my family's help. 

I appreciate the family help today!

A Few Things!

Today was crazy. We had family and friends show up to check out our new house. It was nice to have everyone over. 

1. We received a nice gift basket from our realtor. 

2. My mom got us a nice house warming gift and house supplies!  

3. We purchased all our paint for the kitchen, living room, and dining room  

4. I got to see my niece and nephews!

5. We had a fun dinner together.

Got the Keys

Today we finally got the keys to our new house. It was a little random, but we got them. We are excited to spend the week painting and cleaning before our move. 

I'm thankful we got the keys to our new house. :)

"Peace Out!"

I taught my little niece Paige to say, "peace out". A while ago. Today I got the joy of seeing her twice. We spent the morning at the craft show and at lunch at Wendy's. When I was walking away from the van, she told me, "peace out!"  

Tonight we took Tara and her some pizza and salad. We played in her toy room, took a bath, got ready for bed. It was a fun evening. As I helped Tara get Paige in her arms to go upstairs, I said, "good night Paige. I love you!" She replied with her binki in her mouth as Tara's walking up the stairs, "Good night Aunt Tonya. PEACE OUT!" 

I love that kid. She's so fun and carefree. I'm glad she remembers funny things like, "peace out" when she thinks of me. I'm thankful for Paige and the phrase, "peace out". 

Birthdays

We and fun tonight celebrating our nephews birthday. I can't believe he's already 8 years old! Geez!! 

We had a dinner at Trisha's along with cake and ice cream. Yum! The kids had so much fun too! They played forever together and had so much fun. 

I'm thankful for the time with my family today.
