Paige

Tonight we got to come home to Paige. Josh picked her up and had dinner rest when I got home. He rocks!

We had dinner together and took her to the park! We had so much fun. We took a bath, played on the iPad. My favorite part is rocking her to sleep. Who wouldn't love rocking a cute, sweet, innocent little girl to sleep? It's such a priceless time. Nothing better than watching her fall asleep in your arms! :)

I love when we get to hang out with Paige. She's so cute. I'm thankful we have a great relationship with our niece.

Monday - Positive Attitudes

Positive Attitudes!

Monday, I was thankful for my girls and their positive attitudes during our games. We faced some tough competition, but they remained positive and kept a good attitude.

I was really glad they did too.

Josh

Today I'm thankful for Josh.

I woke up in a bad mood. By bad, I mean I HATE RAIN, bad mood. I was supposed to get up at 6:30am and run. Then I was going to hammer out my long to so list! Bahahahaha! Did not happen. I peed, and went back to bed until 9am! Screw the stupid rain. Josh got me out of bed by making some pan cakes. Then he kindly encouraged me to go buy my cousin her wedding shower gift. I ran into my family going to breakfast. Mom and her four sisters. So even in my sweats, I called josh and asked him to do two things I needed to do so I could go visit my family. He kindly printed some finance stuff off for me.

When I got home, he had switched the loads and started another too! Whoop whoop!! He let me take a nap this afternoon after the shower.

Tonight he took me to Applebee's and even made a grocery list for us to have some food this week. I stinkin hate rain not really makes me so not motivated. We picked up some groceries and even a little gift for me to start some protein shakes. :)

Josh is awesome. I'm so lucky for Josh!

Michigan Center Tournament Champs

Our goal was to win. Our girls wanted to win the Michigan Center Tournament today. We had a goal to win one this year. We went in with confidence and played hard all day.

We hit the ball well. We fielded well. And we played as a team well. I was happy for my team today.

We went 5-0 the past two days too.

I'm thankful for our team win!

Also, our family celebrated grandma's 80th birthday! I love my grandma and am happy our family got together to celebrate.

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday!! And we got two wins tonight against Hudson. I'm thankful for Friday!

Klavons

Tonight Josh and I went to Klavon's with Scott and Julie.

Our frustration level of not playing games is beyond high. We just need to play and play consistently! Rain, rain, go away! When we realized we couldn't play tonight and had to have one more indoor practice, we decided to go to dinner. Eating always makes me feel better. :)

We talked. We laughed. We ate. It was a good time.

I'm thankful for our dinner at Klavons with the Oliver's tonight. Yum!

Good practice

Yesterday we played awful. Nothing would go our way. We couldn't get a base hit. We could field. We could barely catch. We could barely throw. Pitching struggled. The umpire wasn't consistent. The first inning was one I'd like to forget forever.

All day, I wondered how the girls were going to respond to this. Would they step up and practice hard or would they pout and be upset we had to practice when half the other teams did NOT! :/

I was impressed when I walked into the locker room and they were all laughing and enjoying each other. It was good to see. They did the cardio speed and agility workout without complaining. They came into the gym ready to hit and be aggressive at the plate. I was very happy with their individual work tonight. They didn't stand around. They worked on what they wanted to improve. I was glad to see them work so hard. Pitchers pitched and our catchers caught. One girl even stepped up to help another and be a catcher. It was nice to see.

I really enjoy my team a lot. I thankful they showed up with positive attitudes and worked hard tonight.

Jimmy Johns Lunch

Today I ran to Jimmy Johns for lunch. I just needed a few minutes away from the office. I like taking drives.

Crazy Monday

WE FINALLY GOT TO PRACTICE OUTSIDE!! WAHOO! WAHOO!

Today was awesome because we got to practice outside. It was great! Sun was shining and it wasn't raining. First time in two week's that we had an outside practice. I'm pretty sure the girls enjoyed it as well.

I'm thankful for our beautiful outside practice today!

Family day Criag's Birthday

We had a good day with our family today. We celebrated Craig's birthday too. He's a good brother in law. Always giving.

Everyone was in good moods. We had fun hanging out with the kids and just playing around. :) I am thankful for my time with our family!

Night with Paige

Tonight I got the joy of watching Paige for a while. We had so much fun. We saw Lexi and Tori at SAU. We saw Ally at her house for a bit. We went to Panera for dinner with grandma. We had a bath. Ally came over and brought us some milk for a bottle! :) We read books and hit some balls off a tee!

Friday Night

Josh and I enjoyed our Friday night with dinner with my Tara and Craig and Paige and my mom and Larry. Then we headed to Walmart to buy some fun things for Sundays birthday dinner for Uncle Craig. We enjoyed hanging out together tonight.
We even purchased some new night stand lights for our room. :)

Frosty Boy

I was struggling yesterday to be thankful. This rain and nasty weather is very depressing as a spring sport coach. It's tough on the players, on the parents, and on myself as well. Having an inside practice is just not that fun after being outside.  It's mentally draining!

However, last night after dinner, Josh and I went to Frosty Boy for our first trip of the season! Yum! :) I'm thankful for that strawberry sundae I hammered.  :)

Please God, please, stop the monsoons. We need to play some outside sports! :)

Positive Attitudes

Today I was impressed with my girls and their positive attitudes. Rain had really been hurting our season. Our outside practices have been few and far between. It's beyond frustrating. We went inside and had a very unique practice. No one complained and they even had a little fun. It was nice to have a relaxing practice with the team. They are still hungry to play and continue to win. I'm excited for them to play some more softball. I hope we get to play tomorrow.

I'm thankful for our teams positive attitudes today.

Alumni

I really enjoy seeing the alumni in the stands of softball games. It makes coaching feel so much better when you know that even girls who've graduated want to come back and support the program. It's awesome!

I'm thankful for our alumni and the children who came back to support some WHS Softball tonight.

Winning

It's a good feeling to start the season with TWO wins!

I'm thankful our team played well tonight.

Sun Shine

What the heck with our weathermen?! Can they be even remotely accurate? They honestly have sucked it up lately. I was hoping to wake up, roll over and see some sun shine peeking through our windows. Not a chance. It was cold. The doom and gloom still covered spring arbor. I couldn't have been more depressed. I laid on the couch until noon. (This stupid bronchitis wasn't helping.)

Finally though, the SUN CAME OUT!! It totally changed my mood and hype about the day. I made dinner and did some things around the house. I even attended the academic celebration to watch some of my teams seniors and juniors get some recognition for their hard work in the classroom. When I left the auditorium, I drove home in the sun shine and loved it!

The sun needs to keep shining. We need it! I'm thankful for the sun shine today!

A Day at Home

Today I ran a lot of errands this morning with anticipation that I'd be watching my nephews tonight. However, that did not go as planned. I'm a little thankful this didn't happen though because I feel awful, with this shitty bronchitis encasing my lungs. Every breath is wheezy. My head feels like a it's going to explode. Ugh!

So after my errands and some light cleaning, I took a nap. I woke up and twenty minutes later, took another one. :) I love naps on Saturday's! :)

I'm very sad I couldn't watch my nephews today however, I needed the naps and time to rest!

Birthdays

We love celebrating birthdays. It's a day that's special for one person. It's your day. I like to celebrate them and let people know they are important.

Tonight we drove to Holt to visit our friends the Scholten's and celebrate our friend Shannon's birthday. It was a of fun. We had not seen them in a while and were happy we could celebrate with them.

Good Practice

Today even though we had to be inside, we had a good practice! The girls brought a lot of intensity and really got after it! It was impressive really! I'm happy we had a great practice tonight! I'm thankful for my group of girls!

Thank You's

We started our thank you notes again today. My girls have to write one a week. It was nice to see girls put time into thanking someone in their lives.

Doctors

Today I finally went to the doctors. On March 13th I got them to call in a prescription for some meds since I was sure I had a sinus infection then. It didn't get much better. I've been hacking up phlegm for two weeks. Even in Florida I couldn't dry myself out. Ugh.

Today I made a quick stop into the doctors. He diagnosed it as bronchitis and gave me some strong meds. I'm hoping they kick in soon.

I'm thankful for my trip to the doctors. :)

Grandma

Today I had to return our rental van across town. I needed to do this before 4pm, practice time. I didn't have a ride back. I called my awesome grandma and she was happy to help me out. She met me at the rental car company at 3:30pm. I hadn't seen my grandma since I left, so it was nice to visit with her. We made a quick stop into Frosty Boy on Cooper street too. Hehe. We each got something strawberry, even though it was only 48 degrees. :)

It was nice to visit with my grandma today too. She is such a nice lady. I'm thankful for my Grandma Stevens.
