Friday

Today was a long day, but I made it. Jason's still out from appendix surgery. Worked 14.5 hours today. My body hurts. Back at it at 7am. :)

I'm thankful we made it through the open house tonight at school. I'm thankful Josh grocery shopped before we get dumped on again by snow.

Pregnancy: more movement. Not drinking enough water. Feel good, but over it. :)

Help

Today I received a lot of help from coaches and community members throughout the day.

We have a huge open house to showcase the new areas tomorrow. Jason was in charge of all of this, but had his appendix taken out tonight. So throughout the day, our football coach sent kids to help me get trophies from the storage trailer to put in the new show case. Then the basketball coach helped me let officals and teams in while I had 8th grade practice. A father and teachers husband helped me set up the new sound system box. He ran music too and it was sweet.

Aftert the games, some students helped me clean up and put chairs away. It was nice of them to do.

I'm thankful that my long day was filled with lots of help too.

Game Day

Today even though Stockbridge didn't have school, we were able to travel there to play our game.

It was another busy morning in the athletic office, but I managed. Our trip to Stockbridge was a quick one. Both 7th and 8th grade dominated the court. It was a lot of fun to watch our girls experience success. As a coach, I was able to play every girl a fair amount which is always fun. They played well.

Pregnancy: Good day. My body made it all day, but I think I peed like 25 times today! Awful. :/  but I'm doing well!

Thank you Notes

Today I wrote close to 60 thank you notes on my snow day. I needed to get them done so I started season one of Private Parctice and began writing. I was able to reflect on all the awesome gifts we received as well as the tremendous support we have for this pregnancy. It's overwhelming really.

I enjoyed watching a whole season of a show with no commercials too. I may even buy season two tomorrow!

I enjoyed my days off. I didn't cook (hate cooking. Takes so much time when there's better things to do.) I worked out! I are lunch with my family and I enjoyed chatting with friends and reading articles online.

I'm thankful for the time off to recover from my long week. Tomorrow starts three days in a row of 12+ hours of working! We start tomorrow with a middle school bus trip to Stockbridge! Go Panthers!!

Pregnancy update: I had some weird pains throughout the day. Still no swelling in my legs and ankles.  She moves a lot more each day. I'm over being pregnant too. It's not that much fun. Saw myself from the side in the mirror today.  :(

Snow Day

COh my word, I was so happy to have a snow day today!!! I was so sore and tired on Sunday, I was praying we'd have a day off. Here's the deal though, I suck at sleeping and more so sleeping in. My whole life I've been this way. As soon as I knew my day wasn't school or work, my brain won't shut off! The list begins...what can I do today, what can I clean, what time should I work out, who can I visit, what should I do, how can I make the most of this day?!  Seriously, my whole life. My friends would be sleeping, I'd be up for hours. 😏

Today, I slept until 530, checked my phone and couldn't go back to sleep. Finally, I got another hour from 7-8. I had a list in my mind of what I was going to do. However, those things didn't happen! I actually rested!! I went to lunch with my dad without showering, came home, showered, and napped. I watched TV and chatted with friends all with my feet up! Loved it! (I did make dinner and clean up afterwards though.)

Besides some work organization, today was a relaxing day for me. Now my thank you notes are sti)84ll in the package, but I feel good.

Tuesday, Ill write the thank You's.

Crazy Weekend!

So I've had a crazy busy weekend! I haven't blogged since Thursday. Sorry.

Friday: This might have been my worst morning at work in a while. We were the only school in Jackson County to actually have school. I mean EVERYONE was home, but us. Snow days are great, but not in athletics. As soon as it starts to snow, everyone calls, texts, IMs, or emails to see if we have a plan yet. Not to mention, at least half the athletes show up in our office BEFORE 8am, to see if they have a game. Ahhh! Friday, Jason took the day off too. My desk felt like Grand Central Station for three hours. I even had other coaches offer to help me. It was nuts. Plus, given it was a half day, we had less time to get word out about practices and games. Crazy!! I made it though.

That evening, Josh helped me set up for the tournament we were running all day Saturday. He was awesome! I'm so as he was able to help. Got home at 9:30pm. Finished organizing at 10:30pm.

Saturday: We were hosting a youth girls basketball tournament at Western. Three courts, 15 teams, and lots of snow! Luckily Josh came up and shoveled the side walk area. He's great! Teams all arrived. Workers were ready to help. Concessions ran pretty smoothly. We sold more items that I was expecting. It was awesome! I did a lot more running around than I thought I would. Everything ran really well though. Coach DeBacker was a huge help too. Nice guy. Great worker! Huge help!

We made a good amount of money too. Pretty impressive for our first tournament! I left the school happy for our success.

At 6:39pm, round two began! I watched all four of Trisha's kids while they went to dinner for Nicks birthday. Luckily Josh had cleaned the house for them to arrive. Tara came too and the kids played. That was fun. I was asleep an hour after they left. My body felt like I had been hit by a truck. Josh was so nice. He rubbed my throbbing feet too! He's great!

Sunday: I thought for sure I'd be asleep until noon, but no such luck. 7am, I couldn't turn my brain off! The list of things to do, kept growing! I asked Josh if we could just get our errands started. We had three birthdays to celebrate at my moms. I didn't have any gifts! Ahhh. Panera, Sears, Walmart, Target, Toys r Us, and Meijer!! We even grocery shopped. I was spent. Showered. Then I napped for over an hour!!

The birthday gathering was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time playing together. Presents were a hit! Dinner was so good. And desserts were yummy.

I'm thankful my family loves to celebrate birthdays. I think they are important. :)

My weekend was crazy. I'm finally feeling like being pregnant is kicking my a$$.  But I'll make it. I don't want swollen legs or ankles or more in my face. Time is going by, but I'm ready to be done. :)

I'm thankful for Josh's help this weekend too!!!

Pregnancy: 8 weeks to go. Feeling really tired today.

Being Pregnant

There are so many things about being pregnant that I'm ready to be done with. Last night, bad leg cramps. I drank so much water yesterday too. Then I drink water and then I pee every 5 minutes. 😬

I feel huge right now too! Ahh! I picture myself one way, then every so often am reminded that I have a huge basketball in my stomach. It's odd.

The last two nights, I've worked events until 9pm. Setting up, tearing down, walking back and forth to our office has made me pretty sore and tired at night. Pretty much everyone who sees me makes some comment on how big I look. Ok, maybe they say, "good", but whatever. I feel like I they are saying, "man, you're huge!"

While I've been at work late, Josh completed an awesome project. We are using his old dresser from when he was a kid for our daughter. He has worked hard to make it look nice. He's awesome!

Tonight we received a gift from my sister.  Our crib set we registered for. It's fun. I went to put it into the baby room and it hit me, we are having a baby...! Really?! Wow. I stopped and looked around at all the wonderful gifts we received last weekend. As I shut the door, I thought, "we are really having a baby. Soon!" My second thought was, "I should begin those thank you notes." :)

I'm excited to be having a baby soon. I'm ready to not be pregnant any longer. I'm ready for a break from work too. ;)

I'm thankful though, that I've been so healthy so far this pregnancy.

Kindness

Today I received another generous gift. Two actually. One a teacher my size, brought me a whole tote full of maternity clothes. It was great. I think I've only spent 60 on maternity clothes so far. ;) I've been fortunate to borrow.

Also, while at a meeting today, a former player now friend, dropped off a baby gift for me too. Two cute outfits and some sandals. Very nice of her to do.

I'm thankful today for kind people.

Pregnant: feeling good. More tired, but good. Busy week, but I'm surviving. Leg cramps at night are killing me though. Ugh.

Tara's Birthday

Today is my sister Tara's birthday. I wish I was able to spend the day with her and the kids while Craig worked. But we went to dinner instead with them. Applebee's was our spot.

Tara is such a great sister. She's so unselfish. She'd give up anything for someone else. She's a great mother to Paige and Roman. She deserves a lot in life too. I wish I was able to do more for her tonight.

I'm thankful for such an awesome sister!

Brackets are Done

We are running a basketball tournament this Saturday. Mom we told people we'd have the brackets done by today. All these peoples lives were waiting for us to get the schedules done. I got over 20 emails this weekend with questions. Ahhh!  I hate not answering people right away.

So today, with the help of some friends and other coaches, we got the schedule completed. We should make good money on Saturday too! On top of work, I was able to please 15 coaches and teams. I seriously felt like 100lbs bad been lifted off my shoulders. I now know Saturday is a shorter day too. Excited for this fundraiser to be completed as well!

I'm thankful the hard part is done. :)

Josh

Josh has been a huge help the past two days. He's went crazy cleaning the house yesterday. I mean crazy. He mopped all the floors, cleaned windows and doors, cleaned bathrooms and vacuumed carpets and couches and dusted. He was like a mad man before I left for the baby shower. He came to the shower. Greater people. Helped load up and unload all the gifts. He even grocery shopped with me last night!

The today, Sunday, he helped put all the baby stuff away. We cleaned up the room to the best we could. He started laundry while I was getting up this morning. He basically started every load today. He started painting the dresser for the babies room too as I left for softball. Then he made spaghetti while I was at softball tonight. He's been a huge help this weekend.

Side note: I am coaching 8th grade girls basketball, softball workouts twice a week. I am organizing a youth basketball tournament for this Saturday (worked hours on that today). Also I am part of the mom to mom sale committee which is February 8! I'm overloaded, but softball needs the money.

Pregnancy: tired. More sore. But I'm thankful josh has been so helpful. I even got a quick nap in today too!

Baby Shower

Today was the big day. My mother, aunts, sister, sister in law, and mother in law all worked hard to make sure things were done nicely. Decorations, food, etc. They were all great!

It was great to see the people who showed up yesterday. So many fun and friendly faces. Many of my friends and family traveled from all over to come to the shower...Indiana, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Holt, Ypsilanti, Cadillac, and Lansing. It was an overwhelming feeling to know all these people took time out of their day to come celebrate. It was great.

The presents table looked like Target was raded. Most the items on our registry were purchased. It was very nice to have such generous gifts to open. I don't love the attention on me so I was glad for two blondes (age 2 and 4) that were there to help me! I didn't want people to have to sit and wait forever either. I'm thankful for all the awesome gifts we received.

I'm thankful too for my family who spent lots of time and money to put together such a nice shower for us.

I'm grateful we are so supported.

Friday

The 4:30am wake up was crazy. The channel 10 news was coming so we had to be ready. People were so excited. It was a little crazy, but our kids did awesome.

But by 10am, I was feeling it. That and the rest of our long week. I made it to the end of the day. Even basketball practice flew by. Crazy. I was glad though. I enjoy it.

I'm thankful that Josh and I could be lazy at home tonight too. We watched some TV shows we had missed and ate Chinese. Loved it!

Pregnancy: When I got home today, I was exhausted. I mean really, really tired. I fell asleep so quickly it was comical. I'm feeling pretty good. Today there was a lot of people who loved checking out my belly and asking me, "how ya feeling?" "When are you due again?" Gets annoying. Feels like, "so you really are getting huge!" Yes, I know. Ugh. I'm ready to be done being pregnant, but I am happy I've been so healthy so far.

Dinner Guests

Tonight we had six dinner guests. It was awesome. Paige was being babysat by Tori and Alexis came over after class. Tara came with Roman. We made tacos! We loved dinner guests. :) Cooper even stopped by too!

I'm thankful our dinner table was full tonight!

WIN!

Tonight my basketball team played a good game of basketball. It was a rough first game, but it was a win. I'm glad the girls were able to run our out of bounds plays and score almost 50 points! They worked really hard. I really like this group of girls too! Great kids.

I'm glad we had a successful night. I'm thankful Josh and my mom and larry and Tara and the kids came to support us too! What a great night!

Basketball

I like basketball. In fact, I like it a lot. My 8th grade girls are ready for action tomorrow. We had a great practice. They are getting better each day. They enjoy basketball and I do too!

I spent a lot of time watching basketball tonight too. I ran the clock for most the boys games tonight. Good times.

Basketball is such a fun, fast pace game. I hope our little girl wants to play too!

Pregnancy: still sore. Sleeping better. Baby is swimming all over. :) Everyone notices how fat I'm getting! Love it.

I'm thankful for basketball today.

Monday Madness

Today was crazy. I mean crazy. I could not keep up. I felt like Nemo, "just keep swimming!" I could not swim fast enough. I tired. I didn't pee until 11am and I'm pregnant with an infection (TMI). Oh well. I felt like my head was spinning. I did catch up finally though. Finally.

I was very happy with my 8th grade practice though. We rocked it! They work really hard and it's impressive. I'm excited for our game Wednesday!

Pregnancy: Didn't sleep well last night. Found out today I have low iron and an infections. This was from my bloodwork Saturday. They called me in a script. Picked it up. Feeling slightly better, but it explains why I felt awful yesterday and my headache the past few days.

Positive: baby is kicking me like crazy. I have only two months to go!

Long Monday.

I'm glad I survived Monday!

Sunday Softball

Today I am thankful for my assistant coaches and alumni who help me out during winter workouts. This year will be a struggle, but I think I have a lot of people I can rely on. I am slowly relaxing about the up coming season.

I'm thankful for our help. :)

Saturday with the Nephews

I spent Saturday with my nephews. After some bloodwork, I went out to their place to pick them up. They hadn't left the house in a while since the baby had been sick. They were so excited. Eastyn even asked me for chicken nuggets!! We grabbed some Wendy's and went to our house to eat and play. It's a little harder to chase them now that I've gained a little weight in the front side! Ahhh! But we managed. I would have loved for them to spend the night, but it was just a busy weekend. :/

We played games and ran around. Lots of fun. I love my nephews!

In the evening, we got to stop by our friends house that Tara was babysitting at and see my other favorite kids, Paige and Roman. We played and chased them around too. Loved it.

I'm thankful I got to see my nephews and nieces today!

Two Day Week

I was so thankful from my two day week! Two days. It was stressful, but I'm so glad it over. ;)

Life is good.

Kicking

My wonderful What to Expect App tells me I am at week 30 of pregnancy. That's 204 days of being pregnant. That's a long time. Makes me think, how the hell do elephants do it?! Holy Elephants!

Anyway, my app freaks me out that I'm supposed to count how many times a day the baby kicks when I'm sitting. Crazy. What happens if she doesn't?! Freak out?! Ahhh. Why does everything like to freak pregnant people out?! Ah!

Anyways, I hit another milestone today too. My fat ace couldn't fit into my non maternity pants so I after a slight melt down, I forced myself to wear some maternity pants to work today. Ahh!! I'm sure I'm the only one who noticed, NOT. The whole day was about how much bigger I've gotten in three weeks. Yep watch out! Wide load coming through!! :/

Ten weeks to go. I can do this right?! It's been kinda fun having her kicking though. Let's just hope she comes out alright.

I'm thankful for kicking and that I only have 10 or less weeks to go!

Day Three - Snow Day!

Today I enjoyed my snow day!

I got to workout. I had lunch at Panera. I walked around Kohls and Target. I did a little email and texting too. When I got home, I put on my warm sweatpants and curled up on the couch for some TV and nap. :) I love it!

Tomorrow, I will miss today. Boo.

I'm thankful for our third snow day!

Tuesday - Shipments

Today I enjoyed another day off. It's SO COLD!! I am happy I can at least leave the house.

Josh and I took a ride today tonight to check on our old house. Fortunately, it's ok. Pray that these people want to rent it this week. :)

When we returned, we found some packages had been delivered. Lots of baby stuff for the shower! Sweeeeet! It was fun to test out the new baby things. We also made some thank you calls. We are thankful for the generous people in our family!!

Snow Plow

Today I am so thankful that some neighbor plowed our road a one way track out! I hate being trapped inside. Josh was home today so about noon, we decided to venture outside.

Man did it relieve some stress I had building! I felt some strong cabin fever coming on. I'm not a good stay at home person. Having a baby will kill me.

I'm thankful we got out for a bit today.
