So I've had a crazy busy weekend! I haven't blogged since Thursday. Sorry.
Friday: This might have been my worst morning at work in a while. We were the only school in Jackson County to actually have school. I mean EVERYONE was home, but us. Snow days are great, but not in athletics. As soon as it starts to snow, everyone calls, texts, IMs, or emails to see if we have a plan yet. Not to mention, at least half the athletes show up in our office BEFORE 8am, to see if they have a game. Ahhh! Friday, Jason took the day off too. My desk felt like Grand Central Station for three hours. I even had other coaches offer to help me. It was nuts. Plus, given it was a half day, we had less time to get word out about practices and games. Crazy!! I made it though.
That evening, Josh helped me set up for the tournament we were running all day Saturday. He was awesome! I'm so as he was able to help. Got home at 9:30pm. Finished organizing at 10:30pm.
Saturday: We were hosting a youth girls basketball tournament at Western. Three courts, 15 teams, and lots of snow! Luckily Josh came up and shoveled the side walk area. He's great! Teams all arrived. Workers were ready to help. Concessions ran pretty smoothly. We sold more items that I was expecting. It was awesome! I did a lot more running around than I thought I would. Everything ran really well though. Coach DeBacker was a huge help too. Nice guy. Great worker! Huge help!
We made a good amount of money too. Pretty impressive for our first tournament! I left the school happy for our success.
At 6:39pm, round two began! I watched all four of Trisha's kids while they went to dinner for Nicks birthday. Luckily Josh had cleaned the house for them to arrive. Tara came too and the kids played. That was fun. I was asleep an hour after they left. My body felt like I had been hit by a truck. Josh was so nice. He rubbed my throbbing feet too! He's great!
Sunday: I thought for sure I'd be asleep until noon, but no such luck. 7am, I couldn't turn my brain off! The list of things to do, kept growing! I asked Josh if we could just get our errands started. We had three birthdays to celebrate at my moms. I didn't have any gifts! Ahhh. Panera, Sears, Walmart, Target, Toys r Us, and Meijer!! We even grocery shopped. I was spent. Showered. Then I napped for over an hour!!
The birthday gathering was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time playing together. Presents were a hit! Dinner was so good. And desserts were yummy.
I'm thankful my family loves to celebrate birthdays. I think they are important. :)
My weekend was crazy. I'm finally feeling like being pregnant is kicking my a$$. But I'll make it. I don't want swollen legs or ankles or more in my face. Time is going by, but I'm ready to be done. :)
I'm thankful for Josh's help this weekend too!!!
Pregnancy: 8 weeks to go. Feeling really tired today.
